Purchased an AƧai bowl requesting gluten free Granola (person serving advised that a gf option was available) for a coeliac. When it was discovered the gf option had oats in it, the staff advised the oats were gf and they had gone through stringent inspections to ensure this was the case. (In Australia, oats cannot be sold as gf). Staff kindly agreed to replace the bowl without granola, only to replace it with an option containing Oreo biscuits, these were discovered only after consumption. For a coeliac the outcome is weeks of pain and discomfort. The staff were apologetic and a refund was provided, however I donāt believe they really understood or cared about the outcome of the errors stating that they are very busy and this is why this occurred. For a coeliac (and they were fully aware of the coeliac status) this lack of care is not an inconvenience, itās a health risk....
