McDonald's Esperance — Restaurant in Esperance

Avoid if you can... Terrible customer service. I can see from other reviews that this is a common occurrence here and this McDonald's is particularlycheap when it comes to rectifying incorrect orders or fulfilling simple requests.

This morning we placed our order and it was incorrectly entered. However, we noticed the mistake as we were handed our food and mentioned it to the boy serving us. He left and came back saying we had to pay to "fix" the order to get what we originally ordered. We figure he was just relaying the manager's request as we could see him speaking to her. At this point, we asked to speak to the manager anyways as it is ridiculous to expect us to pay for a mistake that they made (and acknowledged). The manager came to the window and rudely said if we aren't going to pay more than this is all you get. She then proceeded to hand us the food aggressively. Given the attitude of the manager we gave up and left - it is worth noting we did not get what we ordered.

I think it's clear to say that this manager has absolutely zero customer service skills and really shouldn't be working in hospitality. We understand they are short staffed (as the storefront was inconveniently closed) but this is still no excuse for the poorest of service. On a positive note the boy that took our payment was...

Horrible. Short staffed due to covid19 maybe the reason however firstly the lady supposed to be serving was paying no attention to the customer area and was absently pushing the fries around to keep herself occupied. Even after calling out twice she remained with her back to me. She did appologize and thats appreciated. The double big mac i ordered was just a mess! Only 1 extra meat patty instead of the two. As i opened the bow there was lettuce and sause everywhere and picking it up out of said box was very messy. Eating it was also very messy with the sause comming out everywhere. I was grateful for the extra napkins supplied. 1 of the cheeseburgers also had so much sause that it was pretty much part of the wrapper the burger comes in. Not happy jan.. for the $20 plus charge it would be nice if the staff took at least a little care in their job. The store and drive through were not busy, i was the only customer inside and only two cars through the dt .. I should have checked the content of the takeaway bag before leaving and will do so...

One of, if not the worst McDonald's in the whole of WA. To start us off, there was no one at the counter, and we only got to order once we asked a staff member to turn up to front. Then, when we asked to replace the beef in the Big Mac with a hash brown cuz we're vegetarian, the young bloke refused, despite EVERY other store we've been to does so. He didn't even bother to consult his manager meaning we had to pay for each hash brown, since there are no other vegetarian options. Further more, once we got the burgers, they simply didn't add the beef and didn't bother to add the hash browns in the burger as we had requested. Not only were the hash browns oiler than industrial machinery, but so were the napkins we were given. After inserting the hash browns myself, I enjoyed a burger with half the lettece spilt in the burger box (yes, it came like that) with a side of half-cooked fries. They're lucky that Google doesn't allow 0 stars. Never...
