I really wanted to love this place and looked forward to coming, but it didn’t meet my expectations. The peri peri pizza was delicious, and the focaccia bread was too, but we couldn’t enjoy them because the owner came over and talked at us the whole time we were eating. First bite to last. Sigh. The main reason we came was because I love a good porter. The owner is very proud of all his brews and especially proud of their very low alcohol content. I appreciate his not wanting to send customers out to be intoxicated drivers, but it definitely has a negative impact on the taste and mouthfeel of the beer. My first and on-going impression of the stout was that it was thin and tasteless, as if key ingredients and/or something about the brewing process had been missed. From the guy’s very thorough discussion, it’s clear that wasn’t the case, but as a porter fan, that’s how it compares to others. The fruity beers are lower alcohol than the porter, by design of course, and while they were very tasty, the mouthfeel was like a completely nonalcoholic beer. The atmosphere and decor are uninteresting and uninspired. It feels like what I imagine it was — a strip mall low-ceilinged plasticky fast food site that he opened up shop in. He talked about putting up something to make one wall look like wood, but that didn’t transform it much. Again, the food was excellent and well-priced. The disappointing beer and soulless space were downers, but the biggest problem is that we had to listen to him talk throughout our entire meal. He seems very nice and I wish him success. I hope that includes his absorbing that lots of people prefer to enjoy their meal with the people they walked in with.

Had the BBQ chicken pizza. One of the best I've ever had, crispy base, lovely crust delicious flavors. Sat outside but was a lovely atmosphere inside the shop and the staff were very kind. Will definitely be visiting again!

The beers on offer are very limited and while our pizza was nice, $29 for a pepperoni pizza on a not home made base (seemed to be a frozen base) is not good value. The garlic focaccia was average and had no garlic. We are also pretty sure it wasn't focaccia... We spent $70 on 2 beers, a pizza and garlic bread and did not walk away thinking it was worth that.

EDIT: After they have said that this is a "fake review" we would like to make clear this was not in fact fake. The pizza tasted nice, but our review is 100% authentic and real. A little disappointing that any criticism is labelled...
