We’ve eaten at the Happy Garden on several occasions as local residents & on other occasions with family visiting from America. On every occasion the food has been pretty good & the service has been ok, although the standard of dress of the staff has been very ordinary with little attempt being made to look presentable & professional. Very disappointingly, the older brunette waitress has been rude, disrespectful, & has shown a disinterested attitude on every occasion we’ve been to the Happy Garden. It’d be appropriate if she was given training in how to behave properly. On a recent visit when settling payment our overseas visitor politely asked for a pen, the older lady begrudgingly obliged by slapping a pen onto the counter for our visitor and then, when completing the transaction, she literally threw the receipt towards him ! Read moreI recently visited Happy Garden Chinese Restaurant with my family and we were absolutely delighted with our experience. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and has a welcoming atmosphere that made us feel right at home.
We ordered several dishes, but the standout was definitely the Mongolian beef. It was cooked to perfection and had just the right amount of spice. We also tried the honey chicken, which was equally delicious.
The service was exceptional, with our waiter providing friendly and attentive service throughout our meal. The staff clearly take pride in their work, and it shows in the quality of the food and service.
Overall, we had a wonderful time at Happy Garden Chinese Restaurant and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious Chinese meal in Forster. Five...

There was an issue with my little one and the manager, Michelle handled the situation perfectly and with so much care and empathy. No request was too small or big (turning down the air con, adding chairs, adding high chairs) and so many things were thought of before we even had the chance to ask (kid bowls, chopsticks). The food was delicious. The group enjoyed all the food but particularly the duck with plum sauce, the salt and chilli fried squid, Singaporean noodles, veggie laksa. The food was definitely at the level of Sydney Chinatown quality. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience for our...
