Early yesterday , when i most needed my angels to surround me , something guided me to this cafe .... Fay's amazing smile greeted me , i thought it was a smile i knew , i realised later her smile was from my angel shining thru .... i sat by a window looking thru plants to the sky , the calmness , peace n chill of this place i felt connected by .... later as i left , i was drawn to a book sitting on an outside table , a story i had heard of and as things always do , i smiled again , it just turning up i felt i already knew ... i searched thru every bookshop in Freo with no luck , and went back to ask if i could leave a note to the owner if i could possibly purchase this copy ... Fay pointed out the owner Louise who was sitting in the exact spot i was earlier ... i introduced myself , and briefly outlined my request , her beautiful soul embraced my wish immediately , and with my emotion rising with facing this next chapter to get through a horrific 2 yr health battle fought and endured against the odds , Louise then simply gifted me this book that was somehow sent to me ... after that my day of the heaviest things i had to get thru went as smooth as could be ....... I live in Exmouth by the turquoise ningaloo , and i am here in this same cafe again today , and from now on every time i am near Freo too .... there is something special about this little gem cafe i would rate it way beyond the 5 stars , i would rate it and Fay , Louise and Sophie and their smiles , the chilled music and vibe with all the stars above , way more than the 5 star rating available .... thankyou !!! This may be a long and wordy expression of my appreciation , but i will wrap it up with one verse from a spike milligan poem ......SMILING IS INFECTIOUS YOU CATCH IT LIKE A FLU WHEN SOMEONE SMILED AT ME TODAY I STARTED...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI always hesitate to write a review when I come across a hidden gem - I selfishly worry about making the place too popular! But I can't resist sharing Amante & Co Coffee with you.
It is tucked away down a side street, and easy to miss - I have lived just a short walk away for over 2 years, and only just discovered it. A lovely, friendly and welcoming atmosphere, and extremely dog friendly (I call places like this "dog welcoming" - dogs not simply tolerated, but actively encouraged).
The coffee was great, and the service extremely friendly - although this was my first visit, I felt welcomed...

Realized it's an everybody friendly place and had I not been working would have hung around for a while. I did get a cheese and tomato toastie for my late breakfast and it was simple yet yummy. A beautiful ambience here and hope to come back one day soon. Can see it could get quite busy. I very rarely give 5 stars but the owner was just so damn accommodating in so many ways āŗļøāŗļø Word of mouth will get you more...
