Don’t waste your time. I went here a few days ago after recommendations and was bitterly disappointed. I ordered a midi of Hazy Lager and it was awful, one of the worst lagers I’ve tried. I had a few sips and couldn’t drink anymore. I asked staff if I could swap it and told No. Considering the lager is brewed at the location, it wasn’t too much of an ask for a 50c replacement of 285mls of lager to keep a Patron happy? I then tried the Freo Lager, which was just as bad, and finally another little creatures lager which I am convinced was the same as the Hazy Lager I was unable to drink. 2/3 of my drinks were left untouched. To add to it, We ordered two pizzas. My order of the BBQ chicken pizza was wrong and I was given the mushroom pizza, meaning I would have to sit and watch my partner eat their pizza whilst I waited for a new one. On top of that the one they brought up was burnt and overcooked. We planned to play some card and have a few drinks, but the tables were dirty, unclean and very sticky so didn’t want to do that. The two staff members we were served by were both new and had no idea about any of the beers, and couldn’t even explain what was on the menu. All in all, a complete waste of a trip. I’ll give the other brewery’s in the area a go next time.

My husband and I accidentally stumbled here during their Creatures Community Carnivale presents 'A Winter Wonderland' event. As we walked in we were welcomed by a fairy looking creature and someone making a ice sculpture of a bear (super cool). The place honestly looked a bit like Christmas. As it was noon, the place was bustling and we had to look a bit to find a table. I was surprised to find that it was a family friendly place with plenty of young children and babies enjoying their lunch with mum and dad. I wish I had brought our tiny tots along! We had the beef brisket, flat bread, octopus and a bowl of chips. Loved the chips, freshly made with the skin still on. Octopus was served cold, I’m not use to having cold octopus so that surprised me but it was delicious. The flat bread had the perfect amount of salt on it and you could just eat it up without dipping it into anything. My biggest let down was the beef brisket. My husband had it before and said it was incredible but this time it was dry and a bit of a disappointment for its price. The environment is great. There is a metal winding stair case that goes up stairs so there are heaps of places to sit and eat. It’s a tad pricy but overall they have good food.

The atmosphere is nice, vibrant and welcoming. However, my only disappointment was the other patrons nearby who brought their young children who is obviously exhausted and crying out loud. We arrived around 5.30pm. The beer and other drinks were great too. The food we ordered were OK too. I didn't enjoyed them because it was so spicy. The menu didn't specify chili on every items. It would be good if all items on menu could mention or include if it included or sprinkled with chili. I didn't order the chili mussels although in the menu it asked of hotness could be mild, medium or very hot. All the other items I ordered did not mention any chili so I thought they will be OK. If it had mentioned the chili, I would not have ordered them or at least ask to not include it. Overall, it is not a bad place to meet up with friends especially if you love spicy food. Also just be aware about the venue, that sometimes other patrons could bring young children who may be crying out loud. So if it is a date or birthday celebration as a couple, it may not be a good place to go. But if you don't mind children crying and yelling out loud while loud music being played and happy conversations nearby, then you will enjoy this place.

Disappointing Experience – Not What It Used to Be

I visited Little Creatures Brewery in Fremantle last night with a friend, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience from the start. We arrived around 7 p.m., both of us well-dressed and planning to enjoy a meal and a drink. However, we were greeted at the door with what felt like an interrogation, as the staff member quizzed us extensively about our alcohol consumption. While I appreciate responsible service of alcohol, the questioning went beyond reasonable, leaving us feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome.

We were simply two working-class people looking to enjoy a quiet evening after a long day. My friend had driven two hours from his farm, and we had only shared a ginger beer earlier in the day. The excessive questioning set a negative tone for the evening.

The disappointment continued once we were seated. I ordered the steak, which was extremely chewy and served with a side of what appeared to be a chickpea dish. When I asked the server about it, she had no idea what it was and showed no interest in finding out. This lack of knowledge and enthusiasm seemed to be a theme, as I also witnessed bar staff struggling to answer basic questions about the cocktail specials, admitting they hadn’t even tried them.

The overall impression was of poorly trained staff lacking both product knowledge and a genuine interest in customer service. It’s a shame because Little Creatures used to be one of the best places to visit in Fremantle.

On a positive note, the halloumi with honey and chilies was delightful. However, that was the only highlight in an otherwise disappointing night. Given the decline in service quality and the extreme approach to alcohol management, I won’t be returning...

My wife and I, visiting from England, took our two Australian grandsons there for lunch today. We were quickly seated and our order taken, and paid for, by 12:45, (timed receipt). 3 cheeseburgers, a vege pizza, 2 beers and 2 soft drinks. Not too long a wait and the cheeseburgers arrived. The burgers were excellent; hot, tasty, good size, recommended. The fries were pale, flabby and cold. This seems to be because someone puts fries on a cold plate and they wait until a meal needing fries id wanted. No pizza. No waiter so I went to the kitchen to ask and was told meals are done in order and they're busy. By 13:20, (timed photo), we'd all finished - no pizza. Manager (?) asked if aok and told - no pizza. She apologised and left. Returned to say 5 minutes and offered drinks / desserts. Longer wait before pizza with barely warmed veg topping arrived. My wife then had to eat her food while we watched. What a miserable experience. Poor. Boys asked for a brownie each. These did not arrive and over 15 minutes later we left, AUD 142 poorer and very, very angry. If this is the standard of service no wonder payment is taken in advance. We're in Fremantle for one day only and will not return. Words of apology make no difference to the fact that my wife had nothing while we ate and then had to eat after us. "Oh, just give them a 'free' dessert" is demeaning - especially when you can't even be bothered...
