I picked this option during my break at work, as it seemed to have the quickest service out of all the options in the food court. I was met with a friendly smile, and a kind lady at the front who promptly took my order and quickly packed it. The portions were generous even though asking for a small.
Ultimately the downfall was the food.
I ordered black bean beef, Singapore noodle and bbq pork. The noodle and pork was fine, they tasted overall good, even though the pork tasted more bread like than pork at times. It was the black bean beef that was absolutely terrible.
As soon as I ate it, it tasted bad. Super salty and as if something was off about it. I kept eating not paying it any mind, maybe it was just the recipe or too much salt? But then 3 hours later at work, I am projectile vomitting in the bathrooms, and had to be sent home early. Safe to say, it was definitely the black bean beaf and still even the next day I still feel nauseous after that meal.
My suggestion would be to cook smaller amounts of the food menu options rather than big batches and replace it after 2-3 hours.
Even under food warmer lights, food especially MEAT should not be out all day. Pick recipes that don't take too long to whip up and cook or just get your meal prep beforehand prepared; so its ready to cook, so even in peak hours if that recipe sells out fast it can be replaced quickly.
Yes, you'd be cooking more often when needed but you'd also mitigate the risk of...
Read moreTaste 1/5 Dim Sim tasting foul; leaving a dirty fishy aroma every bite - almost like bad sea urchin. Somehow absolutely everything was bland while looking appealing. The honey chicken was decent but that was probably just me tasting any amount of flavour; sugar. Incredibly disappointed.
VFM 2/5 $8 per bowl special. 3 Dim Sims, 3 loaded containers for $29. Not bad - except I would never pay for this food again.
Atmosphere N/A Overly generic commercialised food court.
Service 3/5 The lady at the front was friendly but had no stand out...
Read moreI couldn't possibly recommend this take away restaurant. All the buffet food looked average at best, so decided to try a wonton soup, which I assumed would at least be fresh. I found myself spitting out the vegetables, as they were definitely past their prime and just tasted sour. The wontons, felt like they had been dropped in soup from frozen. I didn't eat anything except for the noodles themselves, which were 'fine'. Disappointing at how subpar the food being in such a large shopping center. I should have read the other...
