If you're an adventurous foodie or simply have an insatiable appetite for pasta, look no further than "Double Zero" and their legendary 1kg Pasta Challenge. As an avid pasta lover myself, I recently took on the challenge, and I must say, it was an exhilarating experience that left me completely satisfied. Upon entering the restaurant, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff at "Double Zero" were friendly, attentive, and passionate about their craft. They provided helpful recommendations and were more than willing to explain the details of the 1kg Pasta Challenge.
The 1kg Pasta Challenge! Presented before me was a colossal mountain of perfectly cooked pasta, generously coated in a rich, flavorful sauce. The challenge was not merely about quantity; it was a test of culinary prowess, determination, and sheer indulgence. The pasta itself was outstanding—al dente, with just the right amount of chewiness. The sauce, a heavenly blend of tomatoes, pancetta, and fresh herbs, complemented the pasta flawlessly. "Double Zero" has truly created a pasta lover's paradise. Whether you're up for the challenge or simply craving authentic Italian cuisine, this restaurant delivers in every aspect. Impeccable service, delectable flavors, and an ambiance that transports you to Italy—it's an experience that will leave you dreaming of your next visit.
So, if you're ready to embark on a culinary adventure and savor the taste of Italy, head to "Double Zero" and take on their 1kg Pasta Challenge....
Read moreMy partner and I are underwhelmed by our two visits; we did not get the same experience as the other 4 and 5 star reviews on here. Probably won't be back, the food is good but you're really taking a punt whether you will be able to get it.
Our first visit, about a month ago, there was no prosciutto so we settled for the bufalina pizza instead. The flavours were good but the middle of the pizza was so thin it was impossible to hold without half the pizza turning into soggy mess. Fortunately the cannoli and latte we had after were nice so we would come back and I did not feel so bad about the price (it's slightly high in my opinion).
Our second visit tonight we wanted to get some take away pizzas at around 7:35 pm. Of note is the advertised closing time on Google is currently 8:30 pm. We were told the kitchen was already closed so could not get anything. Kind of a bummer since that's still solidly normal dinner time in my opinion and the restaurant is meant to be open for another hour (it's not like we were rushing in 15 minutes before close). I had intended to get another cannoli and a latte while we waited but didn't bother due to lack of pizzas. Frustrating experience.
That all said the food is quite good but if you're going to go I can only say to book for 6pm, no sooner and no later. They don't seem to have anything if you come...
Read moreToday I rang up and ordered a pizza to pick up for lunch. I confirmed that the $20 lunch special was still going which I was told it was. I went to collect my pizza from the restaurant and asked for a Tiramisu to take with me (I work from home). I went to pay and was advised that it was $40. I questioned the amount because $20 + $11 is $31 not $40. I was told that the lunchtime special doesnt apply if it's takeaway....really because it's not the first time I have done this and it's never been an issue or I was told anything different. I told the girl that I have purchased previously to which she said she would do it this time because of that. Well don't do me any favours love because clearly you don't need my money or anyone else's at lunchtime that would like takeaway because all of your seating is full (mostly empty) at this time of the day. So I left without my pizza and tiramisu and spent my money somewhere else for lunch. I really don't understand what difference it makes if you are dining in or takeaway at lunchtime. You loss $31 and a customer (I recently bought a friend for dinner there and she loved the meal she had). Hope it...
