First off, great location and atmosphere. You can't pick a better location here... However, with great location comes with great expectations of food.

I started with fresh salmon acvocado roll, and felt greatly disappointed. Instead of the fresh salmon orange colour, it is dark and looks like it has been sitting one the rolling belt whole day. The avocado in other sushi rolls are dark and looks certainly not fresh (even though I order that freshly made), and the lemon slice of the karage chicken looks like it has been cut a week old.

However, if you place order, the food generally look a bit fresher than those on the belt. Prices across the board are higher than Sushi Tain, which ST make sushi fresh, their range are cheaper and slightly larger serve than Sushi break, and don't keep food one the belt for whole day.

The service is poor. With less than 5 tables and the place seems a bit empty, you'd have thought the staffs are paying a bit more attention to customer. Wrong! No waiter/waitress walking around (1 floor staff, and 2 staffs at the middle chatting instead of making sushi). Come on! It's not that hard to be aware there are 4 tables of customers and 1 table of small family, not even give us water until we ask...

Overall, lesson learnt and definitely...

Great location, fancy sushi train type of conveyor belts that move the plates of sushi right around. But the food is disappointing. We were there during a quiet time in the evening before dinner time on a weekend... the chicken katsu in the sushi were so hard and dry, we tried other plates with chicken katsu, but same, hard and dry...also not many choices to choose from, because they were waiting for more customers to arrive? Barely any salmon sushi available, all just tuna and prawns. Honestly, we get better sushi from other parts of the mall. The service was below standards. As customers, we didn't feel welcomed at all. No smiles from staff and chefs who handed you the food directly from the centre of the restaurant where sushi was made. We are unlikely to return but feel free to check it...

Tonight’s visit was honestly terrible. We walked in at 7:10pm (they close at 8), and the first thing we heard was a young waitress making comments to a colleague along the lines of “why did they let us in?” — not exactly a warm welcome.

There was hardly any food on the train, we were told the kitchen was closing in 10 minutes, and the one plate we ordered was just gross. It had the wrong sauce, was soggy all the way through, and looked like it had been sitting out for ages.

On top of that, the tables were sticky, and we felt like we were being rushed out from the moment we sat down. Between the rude welcome, bad food, and overall atmosphere, we walked out after one plate.

I left feeling completely unwelcome, disappointed,...
