Iām a regular customer and visit this restaurant frequently at least once a fortnightāoften bringing colleagues and clients during the day and my family at least once a month for the past 5 years, where the service and food have always been fantastic, and Iāve never had a reason to complain. However, I decided to bring my family in for dinner tonight, and the experience was extremely disappointing.
The menu had changed slightly, and while thatās understandable, there was no clear indication that key items had been altered. We spent $220 on beverages and food, and unfortunately, the quality did not reflect that priceāthe food was poor, the service even worse.
One particularly frustrating issue was needing extra mayo, which used to be included with certain meals. I was told this now needed to be purchased separately at a ridiculous price, and it couldnāt be ordered through the app. I had to line up at the bar and wait 10 minutes just to order it, and then wait another 20 minutes for it to be brought to the tableādespite asking three separate floor staff members, all of whom were unhelpful and dismissive.
Without the mayo, my son refused to eat his mealāthis is how heās always enjoyed it. Due to the delay, he ended up waiting 30 minutes to eat, and by the time the mayo finally arrived, his food was cold. It completely ruined the experience for him and for the rest of us.
Myself and my family were very disappointedānot just in the food, but more importantly, in the poor service we received. The floor staff showed no willingness to help and seemed bothered by basic requests, which was incredibly frustrating considering how consistently great the bar staff have been in the past.
For a venue that charges premium prices, the experience should reflect that. Sadly, it didnāt. I wonāt be returning for dinner...

At the sporting Globe Robina they remember us by name and are always so Attentive to anything we need. The other day, gus Made sure my company which involved a child had colouring paper and pencils (the small things) he is always running up and down making sure everything is handled and Jackson is just always all over everything and he makes a bomb spicy marg. We love coming here because of the staff that you have so I hope that this reaches the owner and they are accommodated appropriately. Tilly is also a weapon. From a business owner to another business owner⦠These people deserve recognition. Also shout out to the chefs- they make the best chicken bites on the coast. I am a foodie and can not even replicate them from home. I even take my family here when they fly up from Melbourne and rave about your food and I am yet to be disappointed. The app to earn money back is also a good touch With the pool table, especially. One of the main reasons we opt for this place.. Thank you for your service, we love your space and that is all thanks to the positive beautiful staff who provide genuine can do service. My partner and I with our 2 year old visited about 3 weeks ago about 5pm on a Wednesday, it wasnāt busy it was before Trivia began. We ordered our meals, my burger came out relatively easy, 20 mins more pass and my partners Parm still not out, Iād inquired about it and was assured itās on its way, Iād already finished my meal it had now been 40 mins, I asked at the bar, the young girl was BEYOND RUDE, walked away from me mid conversation. At this point our quick family dinner with a toddler was turning into a nightmare, he finally got his meal and had to eat so fast so we can leave. Very unpleasant experience especially when we couldnāt even eat together.
Nonetheless we thought it was a one off and as locals we would give it another try. Last night my partner and I came for a quick drink around 8pm. Ordered 2 drinks on the app, a jam jar and a pint. The bar was quiet and there was about 3 ābar tendersā in the bar. The jam jar came after about 10 mins but no pint. My partner had to go to the bar to ask where it was, to be told the keg had to be changed. After a while longer we were told itās out and to pick another beer, turns out 5 beers were off and the one he was able to pick ran out 3/4 of the pint being full with the bar tender thinking it was acceptable to serve that.
The bar staff seemed confused behind the bar and incompetent, a sports bar with no beer ?
The service has gone so far down hill, you can tell no one wants to be there, there is no customer service and the staff donāt look properly...
