I love Thai food, I love it spicy too but not so salty that it is inedible. We told the staff that the Choo Chee Curry was way too salty to eat and to the credit of the girl serving, she said would you like to replace it with something else, which we did. When we went up to pay I noticed the returned dish was on the bill. I questioned it being there when we had complained and returned it. She said, "but it was half eaten" , to which I replied, "no it was about a third, with the rest left on the plate" . I then asked "What is your policy if someone complains, as when I write a review it will determine what I say" ? She seemed to get angry and called the chef. I explained that I am not going argue with whatever they decide. He folded the bill and said don't pay, I said thank you and left, to then be followed by shouts of don't come back ever and then the chef coming out out to say passive aggressively "Have a safe trip home" . What is strange about this is, if they are the owners and they don't want a poor review, then attitude is of the utmost importance. If they are not the owners why did they take it so personally. I did not at any point refuse to pay, I just wanted them to discount the bill. I am appalled by the attitude and behaviour. Does this mean that we don't have the right to give feedback without fear of provoking anger. When I give a review I think carefully about the consequences, so, for all of people that didn't write about their negative experiences at this restaurant this a...
Read moreTwo stars. This restaurant is a bit of a mixed bag. I've enjoyed several sit-down meals here in the past, finding the atmosphere pleasant and the food generally tasty. However, I've had two consecutive disappointing takeaway experiences, and that's why I'm giving such a low rating this time.
My most recent order included Pad Thai and Barramundi. The Pad Thai was a major letdown. The noodles were overcooked and mushy, lacking the satisfying texture you expect. The overall flavor was bland and disappointingly one-dimensional; it needed more seasoning and a more vibrant balance of sweet, sour, and savory. The Barramundi was equally problematic. It was significantly overcooked, resulting in a dry and tough texture. Again, the seasoning was lacking, leaving the fish tasting rather plain.
My previous takeaway experience was similarly subpar, leading me to believe this isn't an isolated incident. While I appreciate the restaurant's ambiance and the quality of its dine-in service, I wouldn't recommend ordering takeaway from here. Until the takeaway preparation and quality improves significantly, I'll be sticking to other restaurants for my...
Read moreAs its not local to me, this is somewhere we normally would not dine. Yet glad we did as the food I ordered was tasty and the staff were impressive. Impressed as they consider the small details. For example asking if my toddler would like plastic crockery and cutlery, the complimentary prawn chips (which my toddler devoured and just their welcoming demeanour). Additionally, even though it was a full house, was pleased by how quick our food was served.
If I was to be critical, we were bitten by mosquitoes as we dined outside. The team were prepared with repellent yet it did hasten our experience their and wonder if we would have ordered more food given the chance.
Tip: Although it was a midweek, early dinner for us they only just squeezed in our walk in. Therefore if you're keen to dine in their pleasant atmosphere, make a reservation to avoid...
