I love it when you find a place that you love when you were not really looking...if that makes sense. Food that was healthy, full of flavour and vitality, served with love and a huge smile. We came away so happy I had the corn fritters...kapow, smash, boom!!! Yum yum yum, see the photo attached for the exuberance of the food that tasted as it looked. My partner had the vegan nachos. I scabbed some too as you do and I am not a great fan of the crowd favourite but with the BlendLove version I am a convert. Zesty, light but filling, damn fine. Staff were just nice warm humans. Sadly rare in this day and age. And to top it off the back ground music was...back ground. Fantastic. My senses could enjoy the taste sensations without being battered aurally! April 2024 Returned recently for coffee and a jackfruit roll. These guys have got it! Everything! Smiles, service, wit, and the food and coffee are great. So good. Nice to see the place was easily as good as the last time we visited. June 2024 Back for breakfast. I do not know where they get their staff but they are always happy, friendly, bright eyed...it is great. I went for the big brekky, my partner for the non eggs Benedict. We are talking vegan food so even eggs are off the menu. My big brekky, photo attached was grilled tomato, grilled kale, mushrooms( hidden under the kale) , a potato ball, facon, tofu scramble, an avo smash glob on sourdough. All of was fantastic although the facon was unnecessary as it was a poor imitation and added nothing. In my opinion. Still nice to try a good attempt. My partner loved her non eggs benedict...a falafel covered with sauce. Quite filling. Coffee was great and my tea was leaf tea in a large pot. Not often you see it done properly these days. Always a pleasure to visit and sample some real food that works on taste,...
Read moreI went there this morning and I had a very mixed experience. I start with the good things, service was good and food was well presented and fresh. The smoothy was very nice and refreshing. Now to the bad things. First you should note that I have been a chef for over 10 years and had my fair share of Restaurant running experiences throught venues so I hope you understand that I'm giving you some valued feedback. The French toast is not french toast if you use doughnut bread and don't soak it in eggs, milk ..... I suggest a rename it's missleading, it was nice presented but the "doughnut" just tastes like cinnamon, it could have also used more coconut yoghurt, one tbsp is not enough. The rose' pear was hard so who ever poached it didn't do it long enough. The main thing I didn't like was that the online menu hasn't been changed since 2017 which is boring for anyone working there but what I'm seeing there is that you show those lower prices to bait people to come there and then charge them the newer prices which is done attentionally I believe. However, I think the prices are very reasonable for location the recent inflation.
I hope you will take my...
Read moreUsed to really love eating here and taking my family and friends to experience a high quality vegan meal. Unfortunately the food has gone downhill from what it used to be last year. On my last visit (which will be my last) I ordered a few dishes. The corn fritters where my first pick as they are so tasty. On this occasion they where below standard. On my plate underneath the montain of sprouts there was one unformed slop of a kind of fritter. In the past they where pretty and at least 3. The cook past me as she was taking another dish out and I asked how many fritters should the plate have. She looked at me and said 2 and was off before I could speak again. I did also get a selection on the raw cheese cakes which have improved which I was impressed by as they where already great. The only other damper was the speaker volume level was so high i didn’t even try to make conversations with my family as we couldn’t hear each other. I’m all for music and atmosphere, but I’m not eating at...
