FRIENDLY STAFF If you enjoy a punt on the races, keno or a game at the pokies, this is for you. We are not into gambling, but we enjoyed a meal here. THE UPSIDE: - Friendly staff, willing to help, accommodate and do whatever it takes to make your time special. Thank you!!! - $13 lunch specials (Midweek only) - Can recommend the chicken schnitzel - Toilets are clean - Plenty of big TV screens to watch your choice of sport - Good chips - Amazing dressing on the salad - Nice outdoor area - The chocolate brownie dessert was YUM! DOWNSIDE: - There is no separate dining area away from the betting/pokies - Hubby had the rissoles and they were a little on the light side. At least 3 would have been a more substanial meal. Overall, we enjoyed our time here and the staff really made us feel welcome in every way. We will be back.

COZY LOCATION We had lunch at the Tavern on a wet and rainy day. The Tavern is situated in a convenient and cozy location. The design layout of the complex wasn't ever thought through. The meal area is not separated from the main bar or racing area. Potential for a very noisy meal when its busy. Having said that, we found the staff friendly and accommodating. The drinks and food were enjoyable. They have $13 Monday to Thursday lunches. I had the rissoles, mash and peas. The meal was enjoyable but left me feeling like a needed more. 3 rissoles would have been perfect because the two I had were average in size. The rissoles I had were made of very highly processed mince. Nothing like home made ones. Accessibility for wheelchairs and walkers is easy.

Amazing venue! We held our work Christmas Party here and our staff are raving about it! Using the upstairs function room we were able to theme the evening without any hesitation. We had our own private space and even restrooms away from the patrons elsewhere onsite..The catered platters were incredibly yummy (try the chicken wings, they were huge! Plus the meat skewers were smothered in sauce - you just don't get that at most other places!!). The team there, especially Andrew were ready to cater to all of our requests without issue from our first enquiry until our function ended. Definitely recommend this venue for the future!

Been a local longer than some of the staff here have been alive. Never in these years have i chosen to not visit here until now. This place is more than a pub. Its a place where lifelong friendships have been made, third world problems solved and peoples mental health has been kept in check. A pub is more than beer and pokies. Its about locals who spend their hard earned in return to have a place to unwind in a venue where they feel welcome and loved. Your motto says "We support our locals!" My point being is locals also support locals. Its a given. However of late staff have been hired that are not supporting the motto this venue proudly advertises. To the owners... You can have the coldest beer and the best food but if the service isn't on par soon there will be no one to serve. Feel free to contact me should you wish to discuss...
