Scam Artists Weāve been loyal customers of Zambrero Southport for years, always ordering the exact same thing. Today, out of nowhere, we were charged an extra dollar for our usual lamb burritos.
When we questioned it, the staff member told us ālamb is extra.ā Thereās no mention of that anywhere ā not on the menu, not online, and weāve never been charged extra before. When we tried to raise it, she just kept repeating that āthe system says itās extra,ā without any interest in resolving the issue.
To top it off, the burrito was practically a lettuce wrap, a mountain of lettuce and barely a drizzle of garlic sauce. The quality has gone downhill fast since the new management took over. Weāve also had past issues with the manager over something as simple as redeeming a loyalty reward, so this isnāt the first poor experience.
It may also be worth checking the pattern of recent reviews something about them feels a bit too conveniently positive and from a certain segment of the population.
Zambrero Southport used to be our regular spot, but after today, weāre done. Poor service, poor quality, and dodgy apparent...

I ALWAYS get the regular burrito with double beans and DOUBLE rice - but I only got two half-filled cups of rice at most (I shouldāve said something then) and she put VERY little veggies and ingredients in it compared to all my previous experiences. She also answered the phone whilst making our order and touched multiple objects, and tried to continue making our order without switching the gloves before we said something.
She did offer a 10% discount when I mentioned how small my burrito looked, but considering I was still hungry after eating, I think I still overpaid for what I got. Usually when I get the EXACT same order, Iām full and satisfied.
Definitely not coming back to this location, which is a shame considering previous experiences at this location...

Being a vegetarian, a small scoop of beans especially when ordering & paying double the price for double beans and rice is not acceptable. This seems to be the case every single time regarding quantity however tonight was the least amount of ingredients Iāve ever received. Still hungry and extremely angry and disappointed. Youāll lose customers repeating these same behaviours and cost saving measures. No one else ever seems to be there when I go so perhaps you could consider more acceptable portion sizes to keep your loyal customers instead of losing them.
I also ordered the burrito bowl with the black rice and a vegetarian quesadilla however I believe it comes with jalapeƱos however none were put on even though this is clearly stated on...
