Bakers Delight Southport — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

When a franchise changes hands, you expect the transition to be seamless. Definitely not the case for this Bakers Delight… 2wks in a row lunchbox rolls were moldy. And not on the outside, but when opened the same day. The roll is dry and doesn’t even last 2 days. Ask for sandwich sliced bread, we get toast and sandwich every time? And the staff don’t seem interested or know anything about what they are selling. For a store that was previously producing some of the best bread on the GC. This change over is a considerable drop in quality! And this BD has definitely changed hands before but never this drop in quality. And I don’t think they care about the feedback. We took our 2nd batch of moldy rolls back 2 days after buying them, not for a refund or a replacement. But to make sure they could see they sold us moldy bread rolls… not once but twice!! They just said we could get some more… and no we didn’t take them, we stupidly went back the following week and paid for ‘fresh’ ones… 2/10 👎 after 4 times trying, we won’t be...

I recently visited Bakery Delight Southport parkland and had an experience that left me disappointed. I requested to have a savory bite warmed up, but the staff member seemed impatient and unwelcoming. While I understand that everyone can have a busy day, I noticed he quickly showed a warm smile to the next customer, who appeared Caucasian, which made me feel uncomfortable.

I believe that every customer deserves the same level of service and kindness, regardless of their background. Unfortunately, this experience has left me hesitant to return. I hope the management can address this, as I would love to see improvements in customer service...

I just wanted to take a moment to express my admiration for your store at Southport Park, Gold Coast. The welcoming smile, friendly manners and bubbly personalities from the two guys that work there is a credit to your store. What truly stands out is their patience, professionalism and compassion.
