We've recently moved to the area and we're so excited to try Jafa and make it one of our regular places to eat after hearing positive things - sadly it was such a disappointment!

The food was terrible (what happened Chef?) which was such a surprise to us. Poor value for money, too. Our Cesar salad was nothing but limp, sad lettuce and what seemed like remnants of a poached egg. Why so stingy? It was tiny and poor value for $20+.

The pizzas were just such a let down - it was as though the bases hadn't been prepared properly or something had gone wrong in the kitchen. They were undercooked, doughy and overpowering in flavour with polenta flour. Just not pleasant to all. We ordered the Classic and Prosciutto pizzas - the fillings were generous enough, but they just lacked flavour and were overpowered by the taste of polenta flour. Such a disappointment!

I'm sorry - we really wanted to like you and support you regularly as a close neighbour, but this was a lousy experience for us to say the least. We won't be returning or...

Jafa Italian Restaurant is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a great vibe that makes it perfect for both a casual meal and a special night out. The menu has a fantastic variety, and every dish we tried was full of flavor, fresh, and beautifully served. The pasta was cooked perfectly, the pizza had the best balance of crisp and chewy base, and the desserts were simply irresistible.

The staff go above and beyond – friendly, attentive, and always happy to make recommendations, which really added to the experience. It’s clear they take pride in both the food and the service. Prices are very fair for the quality and portion sizes, and you leave feeling more than satisfied.

If you’re looking for great Italian food on the Gold Coast with excellent service and a welcoming atmosphere, Jafa is the place to go. Highly recommend and we’ll definitely be coming...

Sad to say the standards for this place have dropped since the last time we came here last year. First time we came here we had the 'wagyu meatball pizza' - big, fat, juicy wagyu meatballs with chirizo, large dollops of cheese and zucchini. However, now the name has changed to just 'meatball pizza' - small, bland meatballs and chorizo without zucchini or buffalo cheese (online description and picture say there's buffalo cheese, but we couldn't see any on ours). Very disappointed with the pizza. Definitely not worth the same price as the original. Also the bag of jafas they give out for free were half faded - maybe been sitting there for a while... Not sure if this is because of the COVID situation or maybe it's the new normal. I hope it's temporary... miss the original...

×××Editxxx recently went back and ordered my usual, except it wasnt the same, ingredients on my pizza ($32.50) was different, sauce base went from white based to tomato based and the topping was less of the good stuff. Discovered the owner had sold the business , bummer as withinna short amount of time has gone down hill...let hope they get back to the quality it once was, without cutting corners.... Below was my 1st review ........ You will not be disappointed at this place.... service is 6 star, food divine simple and great atmosphere. Its a small and quaint place, so make a booking and have a little chat to one of the best chefs on the gold coast if not southern hemisphere, yes he is highly decorated in his field and industry...

Jafa is small and cosy with a wonderful relaxed atmosphere. The quality of the Italian food here makes a drive there worthwhile. Their wonderful service with a smile makes a lunch or dinner even more enjoyable. Our party of 4 shared a truffle based pizza ( with slices of potato!) and a brie cheese with hot honey sauce as entree and man it was good. Our mains including a prawn and spinach fettuccini were just as good. All this and good value as well boy that's rare.

Small Italian spot along Ferry Rd out the back of Chevron Island. Does some nice pizzas with a good elastic base. The meatballs were really tasty and the margherita pizza was excellent. The cauliflower ('chicken nuggets') sumac were crazy delicious. Worth booking or calling ahead if you are planning to dine in given it has a small footprint. Take out is also available.
