Luv a Coffee Southport Park — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

Went here this morning with my Mother and 2 family friends for our monthly gathering. Been there many times over the last 10 years. Have always loved the place....the food, coffee and service has always been really good. Have noticed over the last few months things have gone down hill a bit, but that does happen in cafes and things usually pick up. BUT....this morning it was just awful. The service was just atrocious from the owner/manager. He was incredibly rude. The coffee came out barely luke warm. 3 of the coffees came out in mugs and the 4th in a paper cup. We said to the manager that it was ment to be in a mug. He then argued with us about it and stormed off. It came back less than 30 seconds later in a mug...clearly just poured into the mug from the paper cup. He then just slammed it onto the table spilling a bit into the saucer. No apology or even a word spoken before he stormed off again. The 'freshly' baked scones we had were quite obviously at least 2 days old. We will never return to this place. This was an awful experience. I don't recommend this...

A toasted wrap with a salad without a dressing on a side was awful! Not to mention that a salad was off. When i told this to the staff, and presumably it was the owner who responded that they bought it yesterday. And did not take it back. Well, even they bought the salad yesterday it does not mean that the preserving was right or maybe they bought it yesterday with the last date to use by. I asked for the receipt and the owner just gave me a handwritten filled tax invoice/statement template without even name of the cafe on it. Obviously the proper receipt did not go through the cash register. The waitress apologised and said that she was just a waitress and it was not her fault. She seemed nice. If the option was a half star I would tick it just half or no star at all. Can't say anything bad about the coffe. It was ok. I really didn't expect to be spoken to so rudely by the older dark haired (latin?) waitress. Yes the place was busy but after she completely ignored me & I walked over to ask whether our coffees were coming, in a polite manner, she raised her voice & rudely told me "they're coming, we're busy". When she came with the coffees I asked if she always spoke to customers in that manner & was met with another very rude & raised voice response being "no but you come everyday & we're busy". I'm a support worker & do come here at least 3 times a week with a client, so yes spend a lot of time & money at your cafe, so you're not doing me any favours, considering I'm the paying customer. After many months of patronage we won't be back.... one bad apple does indeed spoil the...
