I have been looking foreword to this place opening for some time. I really enjoy Korean food and Korean fried chicken and there are limited options on the Northern Gold Coast. Unfortunately Bam Bam was a disappointment.

We ordered several dishes including the fried chicken. All the food was extremely expensive, with small servings and didn’t even taste good. In terms of the chicken I ordered a “half-serve” of chicken wings, which amounted to 7 small wings (why use arbitrary serving sizes? - can you just tell me how many pieces i am getting for the price). These were poorly fried, under seasoned and the sauce was not particularly special. This was for $19.50! There was nothing Korean about this fried chicken. I can get better wings, cheaper at any cafe/pub. A small issue was that every other Korean fried chicken placed I have been serves its chicken with pickled radish - here it is served with a couple of greasy prawn chips.

We also ordered a couple of the kimchi soups, including the seafood one. Again this was very expensive ($28) and it did not include rice (another $3). The soup was under seasoned and was one of the worst kimchi soups I have eaten. Unfortunately, the clam shells were all smashed in the soup and we had to be careful not to swallow small pieces of shell.

Finally we ordered the bibimbap. In terms of flavour this was fine. Again the issue was that the serve was small and the price very high.

I understand this restaurant is new, and my hope is that they improve so I can get good Korean food close to home. On a positive I can say the staff were very friendly in my limited interactions with them.

If this restaurant survives the next few months I will give it another go. Otherwise I will continue to drive to Southport to get better Korean food...

Very poor service, atmosphere was shocking, rap music on loud!!! Food , Chicken terriyaki set chicken very dry , rice was so dry should have been thrown away not served, lettuce salad was old and brown and 1/2 bug eaten. Entree spring rolls , frozen product, Ok, fried seaweed ok. No glasses served with drinks, didnt even ask. Take family out you expect to be treated somewhat decent!! Wont be going back not a great experience, Need better staff that pay attention to customers not friends popping in to have a chat and a laugh. First time , last time. Paying $75 to be treated as second class and food served was practicaly left overs, very very disappointing!!! Most of the food was left, wasnt worth complaining , couldnt even get served to pay the bill and when I did she couldnt even work out I was trying to pay she thought i wanted to order. Wouldnt recommend one bit , food terrible, service the worst couldnt give a rats bum!!! Shocking place. Will be eating upstairs in Golden...

To get straight to the point, do NOT visit this restaurant. Run by a bunch of amateurs that do not know how to cook authentic Korean food for such a high price. I ordered a cheese hot dog, kimchi soup and the Korean spicy lunch special. The cheese hot dog is literally frozen and not fresh, you can get 5 PIECES for the price of 1 from your local Asian super market. Not to mention coming literally loaded with ketchup and mustard with mayo on the side. The kimchi soup was no better, extremely watery seems they fried the kimchi and put a load of water in it. It came a side with pasta salad and rabbit food. Extremely cheap ingredients used for the dish. The lunch special tasted half decent but for the price again it is not worth. Overall my experience here was horrible, on a good note the young teen staffs were friendly. But PLEASE if you are looking for AUTHENTIC korean food I recommend going to Southport to 'The dak' or 'Oppane' they are the best...

Located in the restaurant section of Coomera Westfield, this Korean Fried Chicken Restaurant does its rendition of a KFC dish to perfection. Chicken is well flavoured and is obvious it was marinated very well prior to frying. Batter is light yet crunchy and their prices are very reasonable despite being on New Years Day with public holiday surcharge. Despite the fried chicken being impeccable my partner got a Bibimbap dish which came in as just being ok in my books. So when coming here for yourself a favour and get the fried chicken. They also have a lychee cider made in NSW which was excellent - highly recommend.

Really disappointed with this Korean restaurant. Everything is overpriced and unauthentic. Kimchi soup with seafood is $28 which is completely different from the picture, only a few pieces of seafood can be found in the soup. The worst Korean soup I ever had, it tastes like they just put some kimchi in water. We love original fried chicken without seasoning, but the chicken here is not good! It seems they don’t know how to marinate meat, chicken is bland. They take 1.5% card surcharge, even though the prices are that high.Never come back.

Went here with my boyfriend for a date. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was amazing. The service was great, and the staff were lovely. Food was really fast and had plenty of flavour. Definitely recommend We got the bulgogi beef hotpot with noodles, cheese, and cheese sausage add ins, and asked for hot sauce and chilli flakes. Definitely worth its price. The hotpot itself is $43 and with the add ins we paid around $50-55.
