Over the past few weeks, while many struggled without power, internet, or basic services, the incredible team at BB showed up every single day—10 hours a day, 7 days a week—serving fresh bread, coffee, and food of the highest quality.

It’s easy to take for granted the effort, dedication, and passion that go into running a business like this. But having witnessed firsthand the generosity, hard work, and commitment of the BB team, I can confidently say they go above and beyond for their customers and the broader community.

To those who have unfairly criticised this place—let’s set the record straight. Burleigh Baker provides exceptional products made with integrity, served by a team that genuinely cares. Our community is lucky to have them, and they deserve all the recognition for their outstanding service.

We’ve been customers from the very beginning, and over the years, Lisa and Geoff have come to feel more like family than the owners of our favourite bakery. The quality of the food is exceptional. Nourishing, honest, and made with care. Geoff takes genuine pride and pleasure in seeing families thrive, and his understanding of what our bodies need to truly flourish is inspiring. You’ll often see him gifting customers his delicious creations, always eager to share something that supports their health or simply brightens their day.

Have weekly bought baked goods from Burleigh Baker for 2 years now, and whilst they bake a mean bread with amazing gut health benefits, their service is appalling across the entire business.

We used to think it was just the middle aged blonde lady that used to do the HOTA market on Sunday, no matter how warm you were to her she still spoke down to you like you were inconveniencing her morning just by speaking to her.

However, across the last 6 months, everyone from the owner to his European girlfriend (just this weekend) have displayed this poor level of customer service and given the prices they charge and the lack of TLC towards their customers, we are going to take our hard earned money elsewhere, which is also the sentiment from friends and family that used to buy from BB.

Not supporting arrogant businesses who take their loyal customer base...
