Due Amici — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

Had dinner here tonight but prior to this my last visit was maybe 10 months ago. I’d encourage anyone who hasn’t been or lives around Benowa area to come check it out, you don’t expect to find such good quality gnocchi and pizza in a small place, gnocchi are a pillow texture (so soft, melts in your mouth) and sauces are yummo, the pizzas even if you get a simple one are delicious , had the Due Ameci. COMFORT food with bold flavours.

Would really love to see this place get busier as the food and new owners are great, my only small negative is that if you wanna try a few things you do pay a bit $$ but the quality is spot on & I can only imagine how tough it has been for local businesses with covid especially in quieter areas so it is understandable. Id also like to emphasise that changing owners hasn’t made any difference in quality, recommend the porcini and gorgonzola gnocchi. & Thanks Ash for your friendly service & yummy...

Today I had my brother up from Sydney, considers himself a Gnocchi expert... LOL

Well he was blown away... Absolutely loved it 😍

Kids love it too...🥰

Highly recommended the Truffle in Porcini Sauce and the Pumpkin in 4 cheeses sauce, you can't go wrong with those.

I also tried the special Salmon in Tomato sauce and garlic with a hint of chilli... It was love at first bite!

The cheesy garlic focaccia🍕 went well with the meal.

Laslty, whilst I was waiting for the dishes I purchased a glass of the lemon cello slurply🥤... Suttle in flavour but on point, very delightful!

We ate at this so called restaurant tonight and the food was absolutely disgusting. I love lasagne and thinking it was an acceptable choice I was very mistaken. It was the worst thing I have ever tasted. It looked like dog food and tasted terrible. I could not eat it. My husband and son ordered pizzas and they came out on pre made bases which was a shock seeings as it is supposed to be an Italian restaurant. The prawns on the pizza had been from a frozen packet and were small & pale. I tasted my son’s pizza and it had no taste. Our other guest at parmi with chips and salad. The parmi was squishy and mushy. The chips overcooked and the salad was pale insipid lettuce with a bit of tomato on it. The whole experience was very disappointing and we will not be back or recommend to family or...
