Foster's Bakery — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

Foster's Bakery is surprising. It looks like a lot of other small bakeries, and it makes a traditional range of baked goods that you find in many Aussie bakeries, but here the quality is exceptional. Everything tried has been excellent. Surprising also, because it isn't a café as such, they can also make exceptional expresso coffee equal to the best on the Gold Coast. The shop and the display window are small, and most customers seem to take away, but there are a few tables and chairs outside and usually space available to eat on the spot. Had an afternoon flight so was on the search for some good old pies and a trip out to Nobby's to support a local bakery seemed the way to go. Serving various desserts, cakes, and cookies, there's also a range of pies plus sausage rolls.

This is the best bakery I’ve ever been too, found it when we stopped at Nobbys Beach 2020. Now once a month I drive the one hour round trip early Sunday morning to stock the esky up with delicious pies, sausage rolls, cheese and bacon rolls, jam donuts and fresh cream donuts.
