Nobbys Shack ️ — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

We were in the mood for a yummy protein shake on Saturday so googled and this place came up. Mind you we live down the road and haven't been there yet so decided being a local it was a must do.

On arrival we were thoroughly impressed with the menu, so much to choose from from a range of not the norm yummy protein shakes (let's be honest, we are all sick to death of plain protein shakes, we are being healthy yes but we still want it to taste indulgent like we are being naughty and treating ourselves) I ordered the chocolate expresso one and Dave ordered The nuts about cacao one. We placed our order then walked out the back of the Cafe to find the cutest little sunny courtyard with timber picnic style tables.

The lovely girls brought out our order and we were chuffed. They were both amazing 👏 🥰 and so filling too. We sat there and enjoyed the sun and have decided we will definitely be back and have brekky next time, as while we were sitting there we were drooling watching all the different dishes and shakes being brought out to the surrounding tables. The brekkie burrito looks huge 😍 and they have some combo deal where u can get a shake and a burrito 🌯 for under $20 which as you all know we love a penny pinching bargain 😋.

I was waiting for so long the opportunity to know this place, yesterday I could finally go with my husband. I was so excited specially because of the closing time - 5pm (I work in another cafe and it's hard to find shops opened at the time I am free). We arrived around 2pm and made our order. Few minutes after one of the staff told us the kitchen was already closed and gave us the option to change the order or to get the refund. I thought weird that the kitchen was closing 3 hours before the shop so I double checked with her the closing time and got "4:30pm" as an answer. 🤔 We decided to replace it for something else because we were really hungry. At this point some other small mistakes made us feel a bit unconfortable. The food, smoothie and acai bowl was great though. I'll be back for sure, but If I am in a position to give any recommendation I would definatelly say that the kitchen closing time could be written on the social media and/or the costumers to be advised about this as soon as they get in the shop to avoid any...

Would rate negative stars if possible. Absolutely worst food and service I have ever had. The toast was stale and all the meals were cold. Make sure you write you want your extras on the side otherwise they will add them into your burritos and if you question it you will get yelled at by the disrespectful staff. The mayo was sour. The coffee orders were wrong. Paid $4 for haloumi and had to ask for it as it didn’t come with the meal, it then comes out 10min later cold, salty and very small. I spoke to the staff at the end to explain our experience and they said ‘you are the only one complaining, so it mustn’t be that bad’ Never going to go back and going to tell everyone I know to never try them out.
