Used to be regulars of this cafe before they closed for renovations. Emphasis on the used to be. Food quality has gone down since the reopening but prices are still high. Server almost seemed annoyed I ordered breakfast at 10:30 despite it not being on the menu anywhere about a cut off time. Coffee was way too hot and tasted burned. And then to top it off they already have an Ibis problem on their first day of opening. I had some of my food stolen off the table infront of me not even 10seonds after the server put it down. The staff thought it was hilarious that food I’d just paid good money for was stolen by a pest, and even joked with other patrons that its been happening all morning. Sorry but if that’s your attitude on your literal opening day towards a customer who’s waited months to come back, then you can absolutely forget about me coming again. What an absolute disappointment.

Edit in response to owner: I have been a regular at your cafe before your renovations, the Ibis were not an issue before. I do believe you are calling me a liar, because I can tell you exactly which staff member it was laughing and talking to other patrons. I can even tell you what table number they said it too. Just love it when you give your honest feedback to a business and they double down on their mistakes and try to give excuses as to why you’re wrong. Do...

Update . before i gave you 2 stars, today i give you all 5 stars. Tried your new product - Turkish eggs, they were excellent, coffee was great, the woman who served us was very friendly .

Guys, you have become the owners of a great place with great potential, but! Train your staff in hospitality and work on the menu. I thought after the renovation it would be something wow and was happy when I saw corn fritters on the menu. We also ordered a Big breakfast and a croissant with cheese and ham for the child. The girl who brought the croissant threw the plate on the table as if she was not happy to work for you. No cutlery or napkins were offered. And your breakfast was inedible, corn fritters resembled a fried ball of biscuit with corn in oil, but not fritters. My husband always orders a Big breakfast in all cafes and is always happy, but not in this case, he did not even eat it. Just advice from a person working in hospitality - improve the quality, work on the recipe and you will have even more customers. A star only for excellent coffee and...

If I could give a zero I would. I went for breakfast with friends this morning and had a terrible experience. One Female staff member was rude and rolled her eyes not once but twice at my friend who politely asked to get her food put in a takeaway bag. When I received my omelet, it was missing the bread that was supposed to come with it. It was very small and pathetic looking. I paid $16.90 for it! My friend was also missing her sauce that was supposed to come with her food. The only upside was that one male staff was very kind and got these for us very quickly. I have eaten there once before when they first opened and the food was amazing. I don’t know what they’ve done, but they need to change! I would not recommend to eat here until big changes are made. Or else you’ll waste your money. Photo below had not been...

Great location, mediocre coffee. With the sand mere metres away, and the Pacific panning across the horizon until the beginning of the Broadbeach parklands, and plenty of parking under the Oasis shopping centre nearby, it is a privileged position to have a cafe! However, this is Australia, home of the highest snobbery of coffee in the world - we're spoilt for choice in excellence, and nothing less than "great" coffee warrants purchasing more than once. Directly across the park is Elk Espresso, a long held Gold Coast institution for aficionados. My recommendation? Get a coffee from Elk, then wander over to Tower 28 for a light surf club lunch to enjoy the views!

Really beautiful spot, but quite awful food. We went for breakfast with young kids. The kids menu is very limited and we went with three lots of the pancakes, with chocolate sauce and ice cream. All three came out swimming in chocolate sauce (like an actual puddle!) - they weren’t edible and would have made kids feel terribly sick. We sent the worst one back and asked for no chocolate sauce, but it still came back with twice as much sauce as what I’d consider reasonable. Why can’t there be any healthy options for kids? The Bircher musli and milkshakes were great, but the eggs benedict was also terrible. A very expensive mistake for us!
