My daughter and I were quite excited when we booked to stay at the Signature We had booked a 2 bedroom Ocean View Premium. Sadly it was a big disappointment from the word go. The reception lady was not friendly at all, its all seemed too much trouble . On entering the room we found that the 2nd bed had not been made into a queen as we requested and when my daughter went back down to advise this she was told it would be done sometime in a not so friendly fashion. The girls who came to do the bed were lovely and got the job done with no fuss. The room had a great view and the beds very comfortable but that's where it stopped. The lounge and chairs were so hard and very low. The chairs around dining table so heavy to move out. No Tissues or clocks . Outdoor table and chairs just not enough room to pull the 2 side chairs out. The TV in the lounge we couldn't get it to work so we used the one in the bedroom . The Microwave is at knee height which if u have poor vision or bad back and knees makes it a little hard to say the least. The air con which we didn't want on of a night because of the noise had a notice if u opened a door or window it would turn itself off. So that worked for a little while but then seemed to turn itself back on. So we slept with the balcony door opened because with the windows opened it was very noisy. If u want to wash your face in the sink be careful u don't bang our head on the way up and if u want to blow dry your hair or have an electric razor NOTE the power point is in the cabinet so you won't be able to see what u are doing . The kettle is also in the a cupboard which is fine but if u want to leave the kitchen u need to shut the cupboard door to get out leaving the kettle boiling away in a closed cupboard. On leaving we put out our rubbish and that was a fun experience also. When we went to book out it was another unpleasant experience, with no I hope u enjoyed your stay . We will not be returning to this...
Read moreThere is a lot to like about this place. Location is perfect. Near everything but not too close. It’s modern and feels high end. Rooms are clean, modern and spacious and great for a family stay, with excellent views. That said they are only serviced if you staying 8 days or more. Not a major issue but we were there 7 days and more regular servicing would have been a nice plus. The staff were very pleasant but only available 9-5 so after hours support is limited. Again, not a major issue. There are good facilities and secure parking. Level 4 has the gym, private booking cinema room, sauna and steam room and an outdoor cooking area and grass area next to a long infinity pool, sun loungers and hot spa. My main disappointment with Ultiqa is they don’t seem to be on top of the maintenance. The pool wasn’t heating properly. It was broken and this wasn’t overtly disclosed on booking. I had to ask about it. And it’s been broken for months. The gate from the BBQs to the pool was broken all week so we couldn’t seemlessly move between zones. We had to dry off and go back through the building to the other door. The steam room was broken. One of the bbq areas wasn’t working. The cinema room is really awesome but the wifi kept dropping out which significantly reduced our enjoyment of the evening. The first time it happened was 5pmish and they sorted it promptly but it did mess up the plan for the evening. Then when it happened again after dinner - their helpline just said they would get onto it tomorrow. Clearly this is pointless and not customer focussed when you need it sorted immediately. We ended up having to give up early on the movie night. This was a huge disappointed given we’d booked the cinema room 5 days earlier and it was our last night at Ultiqa. All of these issues add up and given the cost of staying there for a week I think it’s unacceptable that things are in disrepair for prolonged periods and is the reason I didn’t give a 5...
Read moreWe booked our stay thru LE on 18 January to take advantage of the introductory offer of $1199 for 5 nights for a 2br apartment. Just as well, we would hate to have paid the current tariff of $450+ per night. We had several problems: The apartment on the 6th floor was a disappointment, facing South with a postage stamp view of the ocean. The beds in the second br were very small singles uncomfortable for an adult. There was no compendium explaining how to operate the apt's various features. We found out later that the QR code on the backside of the wi-fi instructions should be used to get the room's details on our mobile phones. After finally doing so, the print was so small that we could not read it. We were not advised on check-in. We could not make the aircon work. After enquiring, we were told that if any external door is not fully closed, the aircon will not start. We were not advised on check-in. The room phone would not work. The attendant who checked it promised to return to fix it. He did not, so for 5 days we had to ring the main number on our mobile phones to speak to Reception. The window in the second br could not be opened. The attendant promised to arrange to have it fixed. It did not happen, so we had no fresh air in that room for 5 days. The standard lamp in the living area would not work. It was later changed. In our experience closing the main door on an apartment automatically locks it. We were horrified to find that our apartment had been unlocked day and night for 3 days, before we were told that the knob above the inside door handle had to be turned sideways to lock the door. There should be a LARGE sign on the inside of the door advising same...
