Ban Thai Golborne is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, the warm and friendly service made us feel right at home. The food? Absolutely phenomenal!

We started with the Beef Satay Sticks and Fish Cakes for our entree. The satay was perfectly grilled, tender, and packed with smoky, aromatic flavors, while the fish cakes were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and beautifully seasoned.

For mains, the Roast Duck Salad was a revelation—succulent duck paired with fresh, zesty greens and a tangy dressing that balanced everything perfectly. The Pad See Ew Seafood was a flavor explosion, with perfectly cooked noodles and a generous mix of fresh seafood. And the Chef’s Recommendation Honey Lamb? Oh my, it was divine—tender, sweet, and savory with a hint of spice.

To finish, the Sticky Rice Thai Custard was a creamy, dreamy delight, and the Deep-Fried Banana with Ice Cream was the perfect crispy, sweet ending to an incredible meal.

A JOKE!! First of all was greeted by the main lady at the desk, ordered our food, chicken wings were absolutely trash!! They were very very dry, I have had much better at other thai restaurants, steamed rice was very dry also not cooked properly, oyster chicken with vegetables was a joke!! The chicken was dry aswell, the portion was very very small. Im shocked that this place gets to serve food like this!! We were starving so we did eat most of the dishes but that was the only reason why. Now the main lady at the front desk seems to be well known by her customers which Im not worried about but what annoyed me was once I paid for our food, she did not ask or seem to care if we had enjoyed our food, she just told me the price, thanked me and that was it, terrible,horrible place. Im disgusted in the cheapness, and carelesness of the food they cook....

We had a huge drive from Lennox head and arrived exhausted in Goulburn. A quick search for a highly rated take away brought us to Ban Thai. For a Wednesday the place was packed with diners and quite a few people waiting to grab take away as well. We were too tired to go anywhere else and figured it must be good so we ordered cashew chicken, ginger beef and spicy fried rice. The lovely lady took our order and advised us of a thirty minute wait due to the volume of customers. Twelve minutes later our food was ready and we bolted for the motel. It was simply the best and most authentic Thai takeaway both of us have ever had. Absolutely perfect! It left us both satiated and vowing to eat here again.
