A friend an myself walked into this dubious little restaurant without a booking on Saturday for lunch.

My friend asked for a booth table (two were available) and we were told by the rude little guy on duty that we could not sit in a booth table because of seating concerns for lunch. Never mind there were two women sitting in the front booth and there were many other tables available for groups of people.

This rude and indifferent young man could not care less. When we said we will go somewhere else. His curt response was OK. He obviously hasn't a clue about the hospitality industry that I worked in for 15 years.

He lost two clients that would have spent in excess of $100 for a quick lunch. Instead we went next door to the Workers Club and had a perfectly enjoyable meal with wine for half what this rude clueless, little man would have charged us for the meals.

My recommendation. Stay away. My recommendation for the management. Sack this rude, clueless little young guy immediately. He is a liability to your business and has no idea how to serve the...

Passing through Canberra, we stumbled upon this Thai restaurant and truly discovered a hidden gem. The air conditioning was perfect for the blazing summer heat, the music was delightful, and every seat in the restaurant was so comfortable that you could feel the care and attention of the owner. Even the drinks came in beautiful, large glass cups that added to the overall experience. The female manager was stunning and professional, impeccably dressed, and exuded an air of elegance. With just the cost of a lunch special, we enjoyed a fine dining experience. Every single dish was a pleasant surprise—so good that I couldn’t help but roll my eyes in disbelief at how amazing everything tasted. I truly wish there were a restaurant like this in...

Just popped in to Thai Som Boom on our way back from Sydney. We absolutely loved the restaurant.

A selection of the chefs specialities were different to other Thai restaurants which makes it a standout in my opinion. The whole fish options look amazing and I can't wait to try them.

We enjoyed soft shell crab for starter followed by sizzling Wagyu with black pepper sauce, thick noodles with chilli basil and prawns and garlic rice. All of the dishes were delicious.

In addition to amazing food, all of the staff were friendly and welcoming, and managed to find us a spot at the bar for dinner as the restaurant was already packed.

I highly recommend and am looking forward to...

We are so happy with our experience here and will definitely be back. Am went out of her way to ensure extensive dietary requirements were met, everyone was happy, and even played a happy birthday song while they brought out the cake with lit candles and plates. The food was delicious and they have a good variety of non-alcoholic drinks to choose from including Thai milk tea. Table water provided and refilled as needed. Bathroom on site. Comfortable armchairs. Family friendly and the waitress was happy to give my son a couple of serviettes to draw on. The duck in orange was beautiful and had a mild spice to it. The barramundi was lovely. Everything was perfect.

Well worth diverting off the Hume for dinner. Our family is Thai. The food here is typical of the fresh feeling you have eating at home. The Tamrind fish is a must. It's deboned, and served with fresh "salad" and just tge right amount of fresh chillies. The fish cakes were great. Fried rice has a health serving of juicy prawns (not shrimp), peeled with tails on. Mango sticky rice and strawberry icecream for desert was fun for the kids.

We had Beef Massaman, Roti and Pad Thai Prawn. Service was good and prompt. Food - massaman is good and the meat is tender Roti is good too Pad thai is where it fails, noodles were perfect but its lacking in sauce. It felt really dry for a pad thai. The flavour is there I can only if it had more sauce to it. It looks pale as well due to the lack of sauce. A little more and it wouldve been perfect.
