Exchange Hotel — Restaurant in Great Western Woodlands

Had dinner at Paddy's on 2 January 2023. 2/3 meals were good, rave reviews for the pork schnitzel and beef and guiness pie, however the Thai beef salad was an utter disappointment. The meat was well overcooked and tough, red onion should not be the main vegetable of the dish, and propping up the very small size by adding lettuce leaves at the back of the bowl isn't fooling anyone.

The prices charged for both meals and drinks warrant a professional and courteous table service however that does not exist. You are expected to go to a counter to order meals and to the bar to order and collect your own drinks. 2 different areas of the restaurant to get food and drinks, so not only no table service, but run around and then pick up your own drinks because they also won't be served to your table.

The wait staff do not ask if you enjoyed or meal, and don't seek any feedback other than "are you done"! Yes, it was busy, but that could have been controlled better and is no excuse in...

Good pub, bit of character. Drinks are more expensive than others, though. The food was OK. They have skimpys here, so if that offends you, I'd stay away. The issue I have is that I didn't know about these skimpys, and they walk around pressuring patrons for money because they're skimpys. How rude when not everyone goes in to see this furthermore after the band starts playing they up the price of all drinks by a dollar. Blatantly ripping off people. If you want people to attend, you put on a band, and that pays for itself via attendance. You then don't go charging the public for your decisions. I've never seen this blatant rip off anywhere else in this country. Band was ordinary at best no wonder people move on to...

Nice bar was a good atmosphere... the downfall was a bouncer who over stepped the boundary of authority. Was in the bar for an hour drinking water went across the road to have something to eat went back and he tells me I cant go back in because the security manger said... my family were inside.. he was rude and as he told me that he let 3 guys walk in... the female bouncer was very professional... so if the pub gets more bouncers like her it be a worth while place to go to when you visit from Perth. I have to be the first person who drank water to be refused entry. The guy was on one hell of a power trip. So what came out of that was the bar lost 4 paying customers. I may not of been drinking but...
