Dôme Café - Kalgoorlie — Restaurant in Western Australia

I went to order lunch with my family. I ordered a BLT and made sure to mention no onion or relish with my sandwich because I'm allergic to onion. When I get my order my BLT has relish on it and I immediately ask for a new one because I'm allergic to onion and don't want the relish on it. The waitress comes back after she spoke to the chef and said the chef had told her there's no onion in the relish and to pick it out of my sandwich if I think there's some in there. (This is after I have told her I'm allergic to onion) After taking a bite I didn't trust the sandwich and had to take 2 antihistamines and didn't eat it after that. 2 minutes later the same waitress come back and offered me a new BLT without relish (like I had originally asked for). As she leaves she pats me on the back and says "I had my doubts about you but I guess I was wrong". She returns with a new BLT and makes another comment about thinking my allergy was fake and walks off.

This place is truly an eye-opener. Great building with a huge indoor dining area that's very clean and well kept. Has a very welcoming atmosphere with quality, timber furnishings. It's a pleasure to sit in that space. There is also an upstairs dining area, also a very large space and equally welcoming. That area felt more intimate if you prefer a little more privacy. Service quality matches the environment. Just go to the counter, order what you like then, go, sit and wait for the order to arrive. There are no silly questions asked like, are you inside or out, upstairs or down. Take a seat and the rest just happens. My partner and I just wanted somewhere to sit and have a light snack to keep us going after a busy morning. We ordered a regular capp, a regular latte, scones with jam and cream and raisin toast with butter and marmalade. Presentation couldn't be better. A very simple order but so satisfying. Today I met up for coffee with a friend and my toddler. I ordered a cappuccino and a kids fruit platter. My friends coffee and muffin arrived quite quickly, however mine did not come. We waited for 15 minutes before we flagged a waitress down asking if the order was still on its way. She grabbed my coffee and came back saying "the kitchen deals with meals so dont ask me about that". I found this to be quiet rude. After 45 mi idea of waiting for the fruit platter, my toddler was starving. So I decided to leave. I went to the service desk to ask for a refund.
