Bellygood Burpengary — Restaurant in Greater Brisbane

Let me just start off by saying… I am blown away! I could not be happier with my order. This was my first time going to Bellygood Burpengary. I ordered over the phone & was worried that my meal would come with veggies even though I asked for it to come without ANY veggies. Once I had arrived she showed me my order to guarantee me that there were no veggies in it & I was so over the moon! They even cooked special fried rice without peas! This was by far one of the nicest Chinese meals I’ve ever had! I brought from Bellygood at Caboolture last week & they couldn’t understand the “no veggie” thing. I got my meal with veggies & paid more for it even though I asked for only meat & NORMAL PLAIN RICE! Yet at Burpengary, got exactly what I wanted & paid less for it & got special fried rice! Such great value for money, I am so impressed & just overall extremely satisfied with my first time experience with this burpengary store. My new favourite go-to that’s for sure! This place was amazing when it opened. Packed to the brim, heaps of flavour, good prices.

Since then the portion size has varied, the price has gone up a little (still fair price for size) but the quality of flavour have become abysmal. All the fried rice dishes I used to love are now watery tasting, with chewy meat and bad quality ingredients.

I've had the same thing happen with every other 'asian fusion' rice and noodle takeaway places I've been too. They start off really good and slowly get worse and worse and I can only assume they're trying to cut costs as the years go by. Very disappointing. Chicken and cashews. Disgusting, zuchini and capsicum and chicken in a strange sauce like fluid. Tasteless except for a burnt taste. I requested no MSG due to allergy and instead got copious amounts of salt instead. A full 250ml bottle of water and still thirsty. Husband had combination noodles and said was just ok but we won't be back. Shop disorganised, stock everwhere and not inviting.
