Brown's Bakery Cafe — Restaurant in Greater Brisbane

I requested 5 plain vanilla slices plus olive bread. And I also had $12 credit. When he proceeded my order he said its $36 - $12 = 24. I said that wrong slices are $3.50 by 5 = $20 plus $5.50 bread =$25.50 - $12 credit = $13.50. But no he is went on and on and on that he is correct demanding its $36.... after a lengthy delay i paid this ridiculous amount and when he went to hand me my change he held the $5 note and said , do u need this back? Like ripping me off is more than ok so why not take even more. I snatched it and got my docket and went outside to add it all up, i then went back in and asked a young girl to please explain how this is $36 she was kind enough to immediately correct it. I am in a wheelchair and i often get treated like i am retarded, and I’m sick of it. I no how to add up and I no when someone is trying to screw me big time. How the male owner though it was appropriate to demand $36 from me when its clearly only $25.50 - my credit. I cried all the way home, exhausted of being screwed again and again, steeling from the disabled, when we are already struggling. I went back to collect order today & was pulled aside by Lesley quite Stern angry manner, advised me, last wk Her Staff charged me $3.50 for the passion fruit vanilla slices and it should of been $4 ea for them. Therefore, I owe her a $1.50. So I should be great full her staff stuffed up.! And her husband has a disability too and he was getting really stressed out adding up 2 PLAIN vanilla slices this Monday plus 3 PLAIN vanilla slices Wednesday plus bread equals $25.50 NOT $36. - $12 credit. IF she wanted her $1.50also that would be $27.50 NOT $36. NO APOLOGY BUT .....YOU SHOULD OF ASKED FOR ME AND NOT BE SERVED BY MY OTHER STAFF All my fault...

This is an incredible bakery cafe. The foot was super fresh. The pie had lots of filling and was fresh and hot. The prices are fair and well worth the quality of food you get. The man who served me was friendly, positive and fun. He made me as an overseas visitor feel very welcome and when I walked out I felt I had just had a positive fun experience. I had a request outside of what they normally do and he went out of his way to give me what I needed. Amazing food, amazing service and an amazing experience. Definitely recommend to those who want a clean fresh tasty place to eat...

Visited based on Google reviews and was disappointed with the Pies. We purchased a Steak and bacon and a Plain steak. The pie was in an aluminium tray which caused the pie to have a soggy bottom and caused the pie to be eaten like a folded slice of american pizza. Half way in in both pies there was still no steak so I opened the lid and there was not 1 single piece of steak, there was a scattering of mince and full of gravy. The top was nice a flakey which was the only good part of the pie. I cant comment on the rest of the products but I will not be...
