One Stop Cafe was about the 10th place we (my mum and I) looked at for breakfast in Cleveland - and was the only one that served quality vegetarian options. The Veggie Burger's flavour was an unexpected pleasant surprise, never had a Veggie burger with that particular mix of flavours before but it's definitely my favourite I've tried. My mums vegetarian breakie was made beautifully with the mushrooms done just how she asked. Also the freshly squeezed orange juice and pot of tea with loose leaves topped it all off perfectly.
During our visit there we witnessed an incident involving 2 other older patrons and a young staff member where the staff member was very obviously discriminated against and belittled, causing them to rush back inside visibly upset. As the customers involved were leaving a while later they were quietly approached by the owner who tried to explain the personal situation of the young staff member, but the customers kept getting louder and continued to try and enforce their very outdated and nasty views - even yelling that the owner shouldn't employ those with different needs. All the while, the owner was handling the situation very calmly and professionally. The female patron then decided to lunge towards the owner, prompting a quick and swift ban from the establishment, proving the lengths the owner and staff will take to support those in need and allow zero room for discrimination and prejudice.
Beautiful food, awesome staff and we highly recommend...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreStopped in on Thursday morning for a coffee and ordered a Toasted Ham and Cheese sandwich. What a poor excuse for a sandwich. The sandwich came out as thin as a piece of paper. It had 1 slice of round sandwich ham (also as thin as a piece of paper)and a very small amount of cheese. When I took the sandwich back and explained for the amount I paid for the sandwich I would expect it to have more filling on it. It was taken back to the kitchen. Only to be returned with a half slice of ham added and nothing else. When I spoke to the young man about it he gave me a very poor excuse as to why that's all the filling they put on the sandwich. The cost of the product being 1 of them. I said to the young man that you can not tell me its cost you $10 to make this sandwich with very poor product. Again was told thats all that gets put on the sandwich. I will not return to this Cafe. And will continue supporting Brown Sugar at Victoria Point where I receive a real Toasted Sandwich with...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWOW what a wonderful surprise having breakfast at One Stop Cafe turned out to be. Recommended by my daughter to try,Iām glad we did.Greeted by a friendly smile and greeting as soon as we walked in you felt comfortable right from the start. You were spoilt for choices from their menu and I changed my mind three or four times before making a final decision. Our meals were ordered and even though the cafe was very busy at the time we did not have to wait long for our meals to be served. All our meals were delicious and we were given ample servings. The only thing I found odd at the time was our drinks were served in takeaway cups even though we were dining in.As it turned out this is a brilliant idea as we had finished our meals we didnāt want to take up valuable table space finishing our drinks we could just get up and take them with us and as we were leaving we got another friendly smile and a thank you. No, thank you One Stop Cafe we will definitely be...
