Service & Food Quality Kingston Outlet (28 FEB 2025, 4:30 PM)
The service and food quality is disappointing.
Staff was robotic, did not appear welcoming, there was no trace of a smile or warmth in their demeanor. They don't maintain eye contact either.
Additionally, it was surprising to see how meticulously they counted and portioned ingredients, such as chicken or shrimps, into the preparation dish. (Only two medium size shrimps to the combination fried rice!!)
Regarding the food, the Combination Fried Rice (priced at AUD 19) contained only two medium-sized shrimps, three small pieces of chicken, and a few carrot pieces, rest of it was a brown coloured rice, which I felt inadequate for the price.
Similarly, the chicken corn soup was overly diluted, it was shocking to see them counting and putting only three tiny pieces of chicken .
The Mama mee , (AUD 18.30) had no vegetables at all, it was also predominantly a brown colour noodle with few pieces of meat.
There are far better restaurants than Dave's that serve better food employing friendly...
Read moreI'm deadly allergic to seafood like a lot of people are, I ordered a chicken noodle box and specifically told them to keep any traces of seafood away because I'm deadly allergic. I told her 3 times and the woman said she understood. She then proceeded to make my box next to the previous orders box which was a prawn noodle box, she grabbed the prawns for the guys box with the tongs and then went and grabbed my chicken with the same tongs without washing them, (they were dripping with prawn juice) therefore contaminating their entire camboro of chicken with prawns. If I hadn't watched her make it I would have been put in hospital. My girlfriend enjoyed her meal apparently but I wouldn't know unfortunately. Very sad to see such poor food handling in this era of strictness on food preparation in the industry .update. Went in 2 more times and there were prawns litterally in the salads and chicken that they used for my food. Will be making a complaint to...
Read moreNot wanting to buy refrigerated drinks, we asked for some tap water. They said they had the water but no cups in which to put it, which put another way is "we can't charge for that, so...er...no!. Laksa and Tom Yum are not hard to make when the base ingredients come from cheap jars of paste, but these guys are in it for a profit and so....by using too little, both dishes were tasteless, containing a combined 50 cents worth of 'food'. So, no toilet (well, they would have to supply toilet paper, which would cost them money), no water and water thin food. Please don't go here to line the pockets of...
