We walked to Waffle Day from the cruise terminal as part of our port day visiting Hobart. We ordered a matcha egg waffle, HK style waffle and cold HK milk tea. From a texture point of view the egg waffle was spot on - crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The matcha flavour was authentic - to the point that my kids didn't want to eat it as they weren't used to the subtle bitterness which my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed. Portion size was as expected for an egg waffle. The HK style waffles were the highlight - brought back memories of munching on fresh waffles whilst visiting my grandparents on the streets of Hung Hom. Crunchy, but not to the point of scratching your mouth, with a crumbly melting centre. Oozing with a generous dollop of liquid peanut butter and butter + scattered granules of sugar. We had to control ourselves to not buy another one. Milk tea was authentic; strong and creamy but only comes cold. The prices were reasonable - slightly cheaper than what we would have paid in Sydney. The owners of the cafe were very kind and welcoming and took the time to engage with our children in Cantonese. If we lived in Hobart this would be at least a weekly trip for us....

This place was such a great find, had a craving for waffles so had a look on maps, this place showed up as closed but I was walking past anyway and was super happy to see it was still open! The shop is operated by a hongkongese family who are super wholesome. I was served by their cute little boy. I went for the hongkongese style waffle and was not disappointed definitely the tastiest waffle I've eaten in living memory. Definitely give this place a go, the food is also really cheap! I paid just $8 for mine and it was a good size. 10/10 will...

We wanted a place to have a very late afternoon tea. Everywhere else was closing or had run out of food and this was our late stop. The kindness and care given by the owner was a real delight. He explained everything and gave good recommendations. The Hong Kong waffle was really good and the green tea and red bean waffle was amazing, my partner usually doesn't like the bubble style waffle but she loved this one. The tea was very good both the milk and lemon. Atmosphere was...

Excellent place for dessert! The staff explained us each and every item and recommended a few items as well. We ordered Traditional Hongkong style waffles which were absolutely delicious - not too sweet. It had butter, peanut butter, milk and sugar. It was so delicious that we ordered a classic eggpuff (chocolate coffee) for takeaway (which I ended up finishing 5mins after) - loved it too. Definitely worth trying!

Our family’s favorite dessert spot in Hobart. Reasonably priced & super friendly service. A Must try is the original HK Eggpuffs! It’s crispy on the outside & chewy on the inside, I can eat this everyday! If u don’t have a sweet-tooth…They have a savory menu for eggpuffs (spam & cheese is my kids favorite) and waffles too. Always a hit with my kids & their friends.
