Hands down one of the best Italian restaurants in Australia, located at the heart of Jervis in Huskisson. Wonderful story of how Peter Eva started out as a successful food truck and now a successful restaurant making fabulous food.
The opening hours are between 10am - 2pm, (brunch) and 5-9pm (dinner). The restaurant is only opened for 4 hours, but you’ll be surprised how busy it gets every day for both dine-in and take-out. Reservations are essential or expect a long queue.
The menu has a lot to offer including: entrees, sides & salads 🥗, Italian wood fire 🔥 pizzas 🍕, garlic base pizzas, Aussie classic pizzas, main dishes such as pastas, kids menu and desserts. The food is amazing, made with love and passion. It taste delicious using the right ingredients and combinations, you’ll be able to distinguish between a good & bad Italian restaurant after a visit to Peter Eva. My recommendations are chilli prawn linguine, salami wood-fire pizza and arancini embedded in a nice sauce. For dessert I’m going to make the call and say the cannoli is the best I’ve ever had!
Pricing: because of the popularity, it’s not going to be cheap. We ordered 2 entrees, 2 wood fire pizzas and a main with no drinks for approximately $120 (4 adults 1 kid), $20-40 per head. Sounds reasonable especially for the quality...
Read moreI have to start by saying, this restaurant has the BEST wait staff I have EVER come across. They are super attentive to their diner's and equally friendly. Wow! It's been a while since I've had such impeccable service. Even when they were at their busiest time during the dinner service, they were on point in removing our entree plates and then asking if we were ready for our mains. After our mains, our plates were cleared again at the perfect time. They allowed a little time to pass before coming back to our table to ask if we wanted to order dessert. SUPER IMPRESSED!!. Now to the meals. Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted authentic, as if Nona was cooking our dinner. I have to say "Everyone who enjoys seafood pastas, YOU MUST! try their prawn linguine dish. It was heaven on a plate. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente, full of seafood umami and the exact amount of prawns scattered throughout the dish. My single small criticism would be, the pizza. This place is popular for a reason, so I’d recommend to make a booking, even during the week. Although it was busy when we visited at 6pm Tuesday 8/8/23, our food still came out quickly :-) Atmosphere was perfect & service was the most friendly I’ve experienced possibly ever. Eva processed our payment & we felt lucky to have met the person who started this amazing business - she is such a warm & lovely person. The food was next level amazing… we got the garlic focaccia, salami pizza & spaghetti bolognese. Everything was cooked to perfection, the flavours were unbelievable & the portions were very generous (handy that they allow you to take away leftovers). The spaghetti brought back memories of my Mediterranean grandmothers cooking - the sauce was divine.
