Staff, dismissive and rude. Cabin 1 accommodation is unsafe and in disrepair. On arrival we noted that directly outside and below the second bedroom window, the space was being utilised as a dumping ground for old furniture stacked up, this extended around to outside the kitchen window. One of my teenage sons attempted to access the top bunk and the entire bunk bed swayed. This was even worse when my second teenage son sat down on the bottom bunk. It was unsafe for 2 man size 14 and 15yr Olds. Before heading around to the office one of the children closed the bedroom door to get changed. He then could not get out of the room as the handle did not work from the inside. My partner opened the door from the outside and let him out. He then closed the door and attempted the handle, himself . This time it came off in his hand. Also noted in this room, was water damage and mould to the skirting boards. I approached the concierge in the office and when I explained the situation, I was told "the kids will have to share the bottom bunk". I explained that they were teenage boys and her response was "oh well". I was then told that no one could look at the door until the following day then walked away from me. I immediately sent a detailed email outlining the issues along with photos. I was again given a dismissive response, told that the bed was safe and that we would just have to leave the bedroom door open. At no point did anyone offer to even come to the cabin and view our concerns, nor offer an apology for the inconvenience of having a child sleep on the sofa and having to leave doors open, let alone have a view of their private waste disposal outside the windows. We decided to check out a day early due to the poor conditions. Although the location is fabulous, the park management and Cabin 1 was disgraceful. We stay in basic cabin accommodation often and have never experienced anything like this.

We stayed at Holiday Haven and we really liked this place but the main reason was the landscape of the Javis Bay. It is so beautiful and I must see. When I have a look on the the park itself I compare it with others we have been. And there were some aspects we had better in other parks. The park is not very big surrounded by a street and a walk for pedestrians. So the most places are next two one of these and the walk is well used. The street is not that busy like in the other Holiday Haven in town ( there it is quite noisy) but you will have the street. The premium sites are not next to the street. In the park the sites are not really big so sometimes it feels for us like a carparking. For kid the playground is really really small and was closed due to maintenance reason. The camp kitchen is also very small (just two hotplates on one stove. Places for BBC are in the kitchen an BBC area. So bring meat instead of pasta😉. You have no cleaning or cooking equipment a both places. The whole site is clean including the showers and restrooms. The location of the campsite is good. Next to the beach ( you can see the ocean trough trees on premium sites) and the town. To sum it up the park is the better choice in this town which provides you a clean place to be but not more. We had parks regarding location and structure provided in the park. So go there enjoy Javis Bay and have solid place to stay

Huskisson is one of my favourite places in all of Australia. I was lucky enough to have booked at white sands with some backpacker friends not long after arriving in Aus 8 years ago. Ive since been back 3 times and always opt to stay in the 'overspill' part of the park with camping pitches only. It has a side access down some stairs that makes it around a 40m walk from park to the beach at the creeks edge. The amenities are always clean and tidy thanks to the hard work and regular routines of the cleaning staff. 3 sinks, showers and toilets in each block is enough to keep everyone happy even during peak times. The kitchen has 2 sinks and stove tops and 4 outdoor BBQs. Other guests are predominantly quiet and respectful with the night time ambience never reaching the kind of volume that would disturb others. Its a 15 min coastal walk to town and a stones throw from one of the best beaches the east coast has to offer! Many campers i speak to come here for regular or annual holidays and have done for years. It just goes to show the draw this place has. The front of house staff are always well mannered and will assist in whatever way they can. Always and absolute pleasure to deal with. Recently stayed over the Australia day long weekend having not been away since before covid. It was all i remembered and more. I will be staying here again many times in future for sure.

Website needs updating/changing - this park is not pet friendly. The website is identical to the "Huskisson Beach" park's website (next door to White Sands), which is pet friendly.

The park has very cramped lots for your caravan/trailer/tent. So much so, there is no room to park your vehicle beside your trailer/caravan - you have to park adjacent to it, on the road. My observation for ensuite sites was there is also no room for erecting an annex, if you have one, because of the concrete slab for the lot immediately next to you.

The playground is very small / underwhelming and not freely accessible to children - an adult needs to open and close every time because of the swimming-pool style fence with child lock.

They have excellent security with key-pad entry to both the park and amenities - however this is 24hrs, making it very frustrating as a parent with kids old enough to take themselves to the bathroom but not old enough to remember codes.

Despite multiple free spots we were put in a spot immediately behind someone else - it was so tight it would have required unhitching my trailer and manually wheeling it into location. Being a late check-in (9pm) I made the decision to setup a few spots down, (lots of drinking and swearing from those behind whom we were initially slotted), with the plan to negotiate with the front desk the next morning.

At approx 8am I was approached and told to pack up and leave because we brought our Labrador (my mistake, because of the identical websites). However, despite being evicted - and while my wife and I were busily packing everything up - the same person (needlessly?) came round a second time, to advise we were also in the wrong spot and not allowed park on the grass (my rear wheels were 3ft onto the grassed area). The park feels like a heavily policed autocracy.

Overall: cramped conditions, not ideal for anyone with kids, and the website layout really needs changing to mitigate risk of confusion with their...
