Inlet Fish & Chips — Restaurant in Inverloch

My wife and I visited Inverloch Beach for the day and on our way home we got Fish & Chips from this shop. It took them 1 hour for them to get our order ready. No joke and no exaggeration!

We were outside their shop waiting for so long that I started chatting with the other customers and they too were getting annoyed with their service. One of the customers waiting outside with us told me that they asked for their current service times before they ordered and they refused to answer.

After about 45 minutes, we asked them to cancel our order and refund our money and they refused to refund our money. We eventually got our food and the qualify of the chip and chips was mediocre at best.

As we were finishing, a large group of people (12+) arrived and before they placed their order, I told the group regarding our experience, and they decided to eat some where else.

I understand at times that services times could be degraded due to staff not showing up or equipment has malfunctioned or what ever, but if the service times are beyond a reasonable expectation, the staff should inform the customer prior to placing their order so that the customer can decide whether or not they would like to wait or not. We live 2 hours away from Inverloch and we could have driving half way home and then stopped to get some Fish & Chips and wait a much...

Ordered a bunch of pizzas to be delivered on 21/01/22. Called at 7.16pm, ordered was told an hours wait. Nothing arrived by 8.55pm with no correspondance, called again asking for an update, was greated by and told when I asked if the lady knew how far off the pizzas were she said "nah I don't know". No help whats so ever. I called again 5 minutes later and got another person and asked if he knew, was told they had just left and weren't far off, he told me that he would have a manager call me the next day, after I said I was happy to skip the pizzas now and just get my money back. Never got a call from anybody, pizzas arrived 2 hours late with no appologies. I understand businesses can be flat out especially over the summer holiday periods, but it is important to relay that to the customers or atleast inform the customers if their order is now going to be delayed for any reason. I was atleast hoping for a comped garlic bread or bottle of Coke for the delay taken and amount of pizza ordered but none of that happened. Zero, if I could. Ordered baymarie dim sums and spring roll, so no high expectations. The dirty little man picked up the spring roll with his hands. I said no thanks you have handled that with your hands and would like my money back. He offered to make me a fresh batch to which I politely refused and requested money back again. He threw a few silver coins on the counter and again I politely stated I would like the full amount refunded. He had no grasp of what amount to refund me. He went to give me $20, but I advised him it was only $9.50 he needed to give me. I eventually got my $9.50 with a foff. I should have taken the $20 and ran, good compensation for being abused. Dirty handed and foul mouthed little man. If they handle food with such filth and disregard infront of the customer, I can't even imagine what happens when the customer is not looking. Time for the Bass Coast Shire to do an investigation of the unclean premises and unsatisfactoy food...
