Kingscliff Village Bakery — Restaurant in Kingscliff

The bakery looks inviting with its cakes and pies etc. I have come here about 4 times over the past year. But the pies are tasteless.. at least the pie n peas are and tomato sauce helps the plain ones. I got a lovely slice of carrot cake today with a smidge of icing.. i thought the cake itself looks great I won't need more icing... WRONG. The cake was so dry and stale and was obviously brought in because it tasted like a box cake... I could taste the preservatives. Gross. 1 pastry they see is nice and that's the fruit flans... but they really need a dollop of cream. I won't be coming back to this bakery.... what's the saying? Wanted a pie but seen a fly amongst the cakes inside the cabin. Fly was landing on food.I really wanted to walk away Mentioned this to the young girl that there was a fly she did not care at all.
