I ordered two sausage and egg muffins and two hash browns in drive thru. I paid without my order being displayed so I didn't think anything of it or that it was cheaper than it should have been.
When I got home, I realised that I had 2 x Sausage muffins and that was it. So I was somewhat annoyed and drove back to the store where I stood in line for 5 minutes until I was finally served. The girl didn't understand what I was talking about so I asked to speak to the manager.
Now, the "manager" who was there, wasn't supervising anyone or anything but was on her phone and occasionally talking to a staff member or two that were near here the entire time I was in the store. There were two others waiting to be served but she was too busy.
There were a number of people waiting for either their food or to put an order in and some looked like they had been waiting awhile. My own anger at my order being wrong I think didn't help but the atmosphere within the store was miserable, save for the woman and child who were both having a lovely time which made up for everyone else.
I will say, when I explained what had happened, she had them redo my two muffins instantly and said she would give me two hash browns for my troubles, no need to pay (Although other staff member only put one in as he didn't hear her say that so thanks mate, that was a nice thing to do) She went and spoke to the staff member in Drive thru.
I know it's fast food and things happen but it wasn't a busy period, just not many staff. I enjoyed it when I got home, as it was what I wanted but all the above? Again, yes it's fast food however it's McDonald's. You expect better, or at least I do.
Went again - STILL GOT ORDER WRONG. Do not use drive thru...
Read moreI just went to Lavington McDonald's and was very displeased with the service. First I order a double quarter pounder, gourmet chicken caesar burger and Coke Zero and after paying I get to the window to receive my food and they have forgotten my meal entirely and try to hand me a frappe and large drink, I told the young man that that's not what I ordered and he turned to he's manager which was yelling at the other staff members frantically saying "where are the chicken and cheese burgers?! Why aren't the here? Where are they?!". After she had stopped yelling at the other staff she turned to the boy and said "we'll sort it out!" He then kindly asked what my order was and walked away. The manager then returned with my meal and then picked up the large drink that was with the frappe that they tried to give me the first time and walked away. I waited and tried to gain her attention at the drive thru window to tell her that she had given me a coke not Coke Zero, she then looked at me with a fowl look and stormed over to the window and said the machine makes it so it's a Coke Zero and I said no it is not its Coke I tried it so she snatched the drink off me and threw it into the bin aggressively and got me the correct drink and just gave me the drink and walked away. I am disgusted with the service and the manner in which she acted and how she dealt with the situation, for a manager that is...

It took 19 minutes to serve x3 Cappuccinos on a Wednesday afternoon with about 2 people in the restaurant and no one else ordering from McCafé.
It took at least 12-15 minutes for anyone to realise that someone had ordered coffee (not even through the app, at the counter) and when it was realised that the order was sitting there, the young male worker apologised and said “sorry, it would’ve been nice of them to tell me”…
I don’t think he was to blame based on what we could see happening, but what I would like to know is, where on earth was your duty manager/shift manager, what on earth or where on earth were they?
They certainly weren’t there supervising or making sure the place is operating properly, no where to be seen in fact…..
I think that the management at McDonalds Lavington need to speak to whoever the duty manager was at 5:37pm on the 28/12/22 and ask them if think that a 19 minute wait for a coffee is acceptable and why did it take so long?
Absolutely not...
