I WAS on an excitement to try this newly opened cafe in Leederville because they serves things with Matcha and I love Matcha.
I came by myself the FIRST TIME and ordered 3 things for TAKE AWAY: Matcha Whipped Cream & Strawberry Jam Croissant, Crookie and Iced Matcha Latte. The Iced Matcha Latte came out not that long, but I waited a bit long for the pastries. When the pastries done (they put it into a take away bag), my husband and my 3yo son came along to the cafe from the park and my son looked at the Egg and Bacon Brioche from the display (that looked like a burger to him) and asked whether he could have it for lunch or not. Then my husband ordered THE SECOND TIME for the Brioche and we got table number for that order, no. 13.
Then we waited on the table for the Brioche (for another long time again). Then two cafe staffs (young lady with tattoos & older lady) approached me asked if I ordered a bagel or not. I said I ordered something that looked like a burger because I forgot the name. Then she showed someone elseâs order who orders almost the same thing as me (except for the bagel) and said, âYou already got your Matcha Latte right? What are you waiting for?â Then I got up from my seat to point them what I ordered on their display.
I pointed them the thing I was waiting for, but as I turned my head to my table, THE OLDER LADY WAS DIGGING INTO MY TAKE AWAY BAG to check through my order! I was like, WHAT?? WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?? A REALLY INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR! Though you put my orders into the bag, doesnât mean you CAN DIG INTO MY TAKE AWAY BAG WITHOUT MY CONSENT. I have to explained to them that I did the TAKE AWAY THE FIRST TIME then I ORDERED THE SECOND TIME because my son insisted to have the burger/brioche there. Turned out there was a miscommunication between the staff who took my order and someone elseâs.
I mean, as a well-managed cafe, you must have all of your orders sorted in numbers right? Why mixed it up?
I was about to give a good review on this cafe but I change my mind. I think I wonât be...
Read moreI have had brekky & brunch here many times & I kept delaying my review until I have a big photo collection of their amazing bakeries. The young lady on the counter is always so friendly & kind. The owner of the cafe is very welcoming and always suggests their best latest items on the menu. The bakery items here are to die for! Their signature Almond Croissant & Original Basque Cheesecake are so delicious & perfectly balanced. Moreover, the Strawberry Danish, Strawberry Biscoff Croissant, Persimmon Special Danish were all yummy and are very creative in every way with the highest quality ingredients. Also, I tried their signature Smoked Salmon Poached Eggs on a Bagel & it was perfectly cooked and the egg ooze was marvelous! They recently made a new Biscoff Basque Cheesecake & it is such a bomb of flavours that is worth trying. This is one of the best family-owned businesses I always visit & I highly recommend it for all brekky lovers in WA. Thanks for the great service & Food. I will...
Read moreI am not giving low stars because I don't want to send their rating down and everyone deserves second chances, but staff today were totally unprepared for the rush they experienced on a Saturday. no-one came to take plates off our table to I took them inside, and then it then took 15 minutes of waiting in a line just to put in my order, which was then somehow not sent to the kitchen. Coffee wasn't great and was lukewarm not hot. Asked once about my food and was told it was coming, so I waited another ten minutes (meanwhile my two friends had completely finished their meals), when I went back to the counter it became clear my order was never sent to the kitchen (nobody is out on the floor checking the status of the diners otherwise they would have known this). So yes it was just chaotic and zero service for the $$ paid, but hopefully they...
