Sunshine, Smiles, and Sensational Flavours: Our Perfect Lunch at Fitzy's!
Our recent midday outing with my son transformed into an unexpectedly delightful experience, thanks to the exceptional hospitality and culinary excellence we encountered at Fitzy's. From the moment we stepped inside, a sense of warmth and welcome enveloped us, promising a lunch that would be more than just a meal.
The three key elements that contributed to this memorable occasion were the outstanding service we received, the truly delectable food that graced our table, and the wonderfully inviting atmosphere that made us feel instantly at ease.
Our experience began with the genuine warmth and engaging conversation of Tiana (blonde hair), who served us with remarkable grace. Her friendly nature immediately set a positive tone for our lunch, making us feel like valued guests. It's often said that good service can elevate a dining experience, and Tiana truly exemplified this. Her attentiveness to my son's needs was particularly noteworthy. Even a simple request for chilled water was met with a thoughtful gesture – she took the extra step to chill his water with ice in a shaker, a small detail that spoke volumes about her dedication to ensuring our comfort. This level of personalized care demonstrates a commitment to customer satisfaction that goes beyond the standard expectations of service. Throughout our entire meal, from the initial order to the final dessert, Tiana’s attention to detail was truly impressive, ensuring that every aspect of our dining experience was seamless and enjoyable.
Beyond the exceptional service, the culinary offerings at Fitzy's were a true highlight. The chef clearly possesses a passion for creating dishes that are not only visually appealing but also incredibly delicious. My choice for the afternoon was the grilled barramundi, and it proved to be an absolute triumph. The presentation of the dish was artful, immediately signaling the care taken in its preparation. Upon tasting, the barramundi was cooked to utter perfection, boasting a delightful crispy top that gave way to a wonderfully moist and fresh interior – a truly delectable combination of textures and flavours. This level of culinary skill suggests a kitchen dedicated to high standards and quality ingredients. Accompanying the fish was a salad that was equally impressive. The greens were crisp and vibrant, indicating their freshness, and the dressing was applied with a skillful hand, just enough to enhance the natural flavours of the vegetables without being overwhelming. And then there was the apple pie. Oh my goodness, one bite transported me back to childhood, as its taste was remarkably similar to my grandma's homemade pie, the kind that would sit cooling on the windowsill, filling the kitchen with its comforting aroma.
The overall ambiance of Fitzy's further contributed to our positive experience. The atmosphere was remarkably peaceful and welcoming, creating a relaxed and enjoyable setting for our lunch. It's a quiet and family-friendly spot, making it ideal for diners of all ages. Furthermore, it was truly commendable to see that Fitzy's is completely disability friendly. The presence of ample parking, easy access, and a convenient ramp right out front demonstrates a commitment to inclusivity and ensures that everyone in the community can comfortably enjoy their facilities.
In conclusion, our lunch date at Fitzy's was an absolute success, exceeding our expectations in terms of service, food quality, and overall atmosphere. The exceptional care provided by Tiana, the culinary artistry of the chef, and the welcoming and accessible environment all combined to create a truly memorable dining experience.
We wholeheartedly recommend Fitzy's to everyone looking for a fantastic place to eat. It's more than just a restaurant; it's a place where you feel valued and where every detail is considered to ensure a delightful visit. We eagerly anticipate our return to Fitzy's and encourage others to discover its many charms...
Read moreWe have been visiting this establishment for meals for nearly 12 months and sometimes twice a week, the time before last the meals were most definitely of an inferior content, but we did not complain although someone in our group did at that time, but we thought perhaps it was a one off occasion so we booked for this Sunday 20th August my wife did not wish to chance having the unpleasant experience of having a bad meal so she chose another item on the menu, I personally wanted to have the meal that I have been going back for all this time so I did chance it again we had our meals all served by very polite and helpful waitresses and when we had finished our meals one waitress did ask for our comments on the meals, I did state that I always have and until the last couple of visits enjoyed the fillet steak but I did tell this waitress that I had eaten most of my meal but the steak was absolutely awful it was a very poor cut with a lot of fat and sinew yet it was described as quality fillet this was possible for the staff to see from the portion left on my plate uneaten, the waitress was very helpful and said that she would talk to the chef to see what could be done, on her return from the chef she said that the chef commented as most was eaten that it must of been okay, I cannot now call that person a chef only a cook as any qualified chef would of never have made such a ridicules biased statement, the waitress was most apologetic and asked if we would like a coffee as compensation of which we did not. Now mr cook I do not go out and dine to get a free coffee or a refund, I dine out to be social with friends and enjoy a well cooked quality meal. I also vote with my wallet and when Mr cook you are unemployed and cannot feed your family, I will willingly take the blame because it would be no more than what you deserve. Remedy take it on your back and serve up hot well cooked quality meals but most of all LISTEN to your clients. I no longer recommend this...
Read moreSo we booked for 22 for a double 21st celebration family dinner. We are told upon arrival that we can’t join the 2 tables together and have to sit apart. We joined the ourselves and fitted fine. We all read the menus and the one printed sheet of specials. After waiting 5 minutes for the ordering guy to turn around and serve me, with no apology for waiting, I ordered an expensive meal off the specials, only to be told the don’t have that on the menu. I explained it was on the specials menu on our table and a few of us would order it. He rudely informed me that I should know that it hadn’t been on the menu for a week! So why was that special menu on our reserved table? I asked for tonight’s menu and was told they had only printed one and I couldn’t take it to the table to share! It gets worse. The waitress delivers 2 meals, asks who’s they are, and the couple who ordered them were at the bar ordering drinks, so it took us a few secs to figure out it was theirs. When we told her she threw the plates down so the food went flying off all over the table. My pasta carbonara ( because I couldn’t order the filet Mignon special) was soup with pasta. Disgusting. The birthday kids food was taken away because they weren’t sitting in their seats when it was served. There’s another 4 incidents, but I’m too disgusted to keep going. Yes, after complaining about all this the manager did try to make amends by offering us a free drink. But even that was a joke as they missed out several people, even though we were all seated. If we were all intoxicated I would understand staff reluctance to be nice. half had only had 1 drink, half had none. It’s the fifth and last time our extended family will eat at Fitzys Waterford. You could not have been more hostile if you tried. What a nasty memory we have...
