I agree. Worst service from a hungry jacks I've ever had. We asked from the drive thru if the hash browns were gluten free. The girl had no idea. Did she even know what gluten free was?? She said she had to ask her manager. What felt like forever, I had to say hello, is anyone there. She told me she had no idea, nor did the manager. We said forget it, can we just place an order. At the window I continued to ask her about gluten free. I did tell her that knowing if something was gluten free or at least having someone there that did know was important because gluten to a person who is allergic to it you may as well feed them poison. She didn't care and ignored me taking the next order. The next window we were told to wait out in the waiting bay for a fresh hash brown to be cooked. We waited for almost 10 mind to final get our food. I opened the bag when the girl was there and the medium chips were less than half full and looked old. I asked where the rest of the chips were. She said probably fallen out in the bag. Nope. Not fallen out. I asked if the chips were fresh and she said yes. I touched one and it was old and cold. I asked her to please get us some chips that were a medium size and at least hot to eat. The hash brown, no was was that fresh as it flopped and I broke it in half and the inside was barely warm. It was actually yuck to eat. Yes we got fresh chips but in these evolving times should not every food outlet know what gluten free is? Especially the manager. Do hungry jacks not train their staff the basics? We have been to a free hungry jacks and they have know about gluten and told me their hash browns are gluten free. They even offered for us to bring our own buns and they would make me a gluten free burger. The young girls working in this store could not care less for customer service. No empathy, no manners and clearly no respect for people with food allergies. We'll never eat at this store again due to the disappointing customer service and lack or caring for their customers. Those girls should be ashamed for their attitude. Food allergies are very hard to manage sometimes and can happen to anyone at any age. I wasn't always allergic to gluten. Well not that I knew of. Better hope they don't develop a food allergy, well I hope they do and get treated the same, then they will know how it feels to be disrespected and totally disregarded for something I did not...
Read moreAt 8.57pm 21st of November some friends of ours and my own family decided to have dinner after the kids awards night.
Between us we spent quite a sum of money and we sat down the back of the restaurant to eat our meals. As we were eating we were approached by a young gentleman who asked us to move as that part of the restaurant was closed. Admittedly there were some chairs across the walkway and at the time did not realise the chairs were being used to close of the restaurant.
We obliged by getting up and took a seat closer to the front of the restaurant and started eating our meals again.
Within a couple of mins we were approached again by the young gentleman who was a little more abrupt the second time who said, I told you guys you had to sit along the window can you please move the restaurant is closed. By this time all window seats were taken by others with no where to sit and enjoy our dinner.
I asked where he would like us to move to and said , I understand your just doing what your manager has asked. Could you please tell your Manager to come out to discuss the matter.
It got to the point where we had to get up ourselves to discuss the matter with the Manager who clearly didn't care and shrugged is off.
Why at 9pm within the hour of the restaurant closing would 90% of the sitting area be closed.
Other patrons could not believe how we were being treated and to be quite frank nor could I.
We spent a substantial amount of money tonight and I feel so angry we were treated in this way.
How dare Hungry Jacks treat paying customers in this way, all we wanted to do is sit, eat our meals and enjoy one another's company. Instead we were harassed and belittled Infront of staff and patrons.
You certainly won't be getting our business back, not that would even matter to the store.
BTW, we made to feel that bad, the original tables we were at, I cleaned them for you. The next tables you asked us to move from, I cleaned them as well. Goodness just imagine if we had to move again, I would have had 3 sets of tables to clean.
What a joke, treat your...
Read moreI’ve been going to this Hungry Jacks for 7 years and after today, won’t be back.
The service is usually fine and so is the food.
Today however, I purchased 2 frozen cokes from the drive through after my visit to Bunnings.
The girl handed me them in a cup tray but one had huge frozen coke chunks stuck to the outside of the cup. She clearly did not understand I would not want frozen coke all throughout my car because when I asked her to wash the coke off the side she didn’t bother to look at the cup at all - and proceeded to wipe the already clean side. I pointed out thats not even the side that has all the coke on it so she huffed & puffed and grabbed a spare cup to put over the top. She handed me the frozen cokes, sighed & rolled her eyes. Sorry I dont want frozen coke all over my car.
I said, “Sorry was that such a difficult task?” She rolled her eyes & closed the window on me.
Coming from someone who worked fast food for years in my younger days, please realise that you are employed to provide an enjoyable food & drink experience for your customers. It’s not a difficult job and you should leave if you’re unable to do so.
Fair enough there’s coke all over the cup - you guys are trying to be quick and people make mistakes. Totally fair. But if I politely ask you to clean it before it gets in my car, I shouldn’t have to feel like I’m in the wrong. It’s Sunday, I’ve got the weekend off with my partner & this is not the sort of service I should have to...
