Located not far from the Lorne Surf Life Saving Club, this cafe has picturesque views, inside and out - prime real estate. Outdoor deck seating is in high demand, and you may be lucky to be joined by a cockatoo vying for a snack. This is a groovy place separated into different dining areas - a bar, a fireplace, the deck/grassed area and lounge. The service here is excellent, and be sure to ask what the ‘special of the day’ is, as you may be lucky to get a home-made rosti, like me! They serve breakfast from 7.30 am, lunch from 12 pm and dinner from 5 pm [you can make reservations online, but walk-ins are accepted too]. They also do take away orders. I was lucky enough to have my breakfast outside while sitting in the shade, with views of the ocean as my entertainment/meditation. I cannot fault this venue, the reasonable prices, the staff or the food delivered—a must when staying in Lorne. Recommendations Hickory smoked bacon, and poached eggs on toasted sourdough [I added mushrooms] - a hearty breakfast, huge serve and ever so tasty. The mushrooms, so buttery - mmmm. Set me up for the rest of the day. Home-made rosti - this was the size of a brick and reminded me of scalloped potatoes layered lasagne style - so good!!!! Long black coffee/ mixed juices - their coffee is on point and their juice freshly squeezed.

Popped in real quick for a bite while on a tour of Australia's southern coast. Mostly outdoor seating and super casual atmosphere. Coffees and sweets inside and crowded with a mix of locals and tourists. Ready to order and leaning towards a big, juicy burger but the manager and waiter both ranted and raved about their special, The wild Atlantic Salmon on a fresh salad. I desperately wanted to give the salmon a 5 Star, but when you enjoy the salad more than the salmon then you know something isn't quite right with the fish. #undercooked. I had to send it back to cook longer. I really was gonna get a burger. A bit disappointed but you can't win em all. Still enjoyed the meal though and service was friendly and they were apologetic.. And that goes a long way with me.

Fantastic service from the start. Very friendly staff an overall exceptional experience. Went for breakfast if you are a smashed avocado fan this is the breakfast meal I recommend! The spiced pumpkin and lemon thyme feta cheese. Add their extra Avocado and you'll have a breakfast made in heaven! Leaves you full until dinner! The pumpkin is very nice with a hint of cumin, the avocado is fresh, and the cheese and beautiful long sourdough all goes amazing together. I also added the housemade potato hash which was also extremely tasty and if you're up to it- add extra bacon because that is also delicious! I would rate this meal an 8.5 out of 10!

Good place for breakfast with good service and good food at reasonable prices. We were greeted with a friendly smile and although the cafe was busy they made it easy for us to wait for a table. The family behind they took their number and contacted them when a table was free. Inside the venue is warm and cosy and well positioned across the road from the main beach. Service was friendly and our meals came out quickly despite how busy the kitchen was. They followed all covid conditions and I would recommend it as a great place to grab a feed while in your Lorne.

I ordered a large takeaway coffee and when I got home, I saw that it was only half full as per the photo. When I politely asked for a replacement, this was abruptly denied. Definitely do not recommend this cafe. I was really disappointed and surprised at the response. I still feel upset hours later at the harsh response I was met with, which I don’t understand given I was charged for a full coffee and only given half and needed to make a trip back to raise it.

Always come here when staying in Lorne for an amazing breakfast and sadly it was closed the first morning we were here but open our last morning and I was so excited! The food is just as amazing as it always has been, the staff are so friendly, the views are amazing and they’re being very safe regarding COVID with 20 inside and 20 outside and hand sanitiser and much more. A must to stop in for a great hearty breakfast with an Ocean view!
