Roundabout Takeaway — Restaurant in Mansfield

Just no. We make regular trips to Mansfield and after our first experience of fish and chips from here we were feeling less than good. The food was just too greasy. Today 28/12/21 we thought we'd give them another go, every business has a bad day. Sadly, after paying $9.50 each for 4 pieces of flake, we were again very disappointed. The flake wasn't very tasty, the batter was thick and gluggy on the inside but, ironically, dark brown on the outside (perhaps the oil needs to be changed more frequently), worst of all is the amount of oil in the product, indicating that the oil isn't the correct temperature. Chips were better than the fish, just passable. Sadly, we won't...

Price was very good, unfortunately, food not so great. I ordered a Lamb Souvlaki and asked for no onions and chilli and garlic sauce. I got a loosely wrapped Lamb Souvlaki with lots of fat on it. Taste was very nice, but I also got Cheese, 1.5 pieces of tomato and no chilli sauce. My partner ordered chips and potato cakes with lots of salt and vinegar and 2 potato cakes. He got chips and potato cakes barely cooked and didn’t eat half of it. No vinegar and barely any salt. Threw half of it away.

To be fair people need a break, but I feel if they want their business to improve maybe double check all orders and make sure food is cooked, otherwise the flavour was...

Souvlaki tasted like a cold wrap. Had food from the Roundabout Takeaway Cafe when we were renting our ski equipment and from CKK kebabs upon return - the difference in enjoyment and quality is quite large. Recommend you go to CKK if you’re looking for warm and filling kebabs that are actually toasted. The service here was okay but the food is not...
