Mighty hard to fault on any measure is my assessment. We came for diner tonight here and we’re very glad we did. We loved our entrees of garlic bread and calamari shared between three. Nobody anywhere does garlic bread well anymore except the hood people here. It’s insanely tasty. Garlic and cheese melted and drizzled into Turkish bread. Do not miss it. My main meal was similarly ridiculously delicious. Roast lamb with veggies. Sounds basic but let me tell you that Gordon Ramsay himself couldn’t have made it more tasty. All it needed was a touch of mint sauce which the friendly server grabbed for me in a thrice. This was the best roast I’ve tasted for years. My wife went nuts I over her Mansfield Burger too. She asserted several times that it might be the best burger she’d ever tasted. We loved the wine list here too, appropriately dominated as it was by lovely local wines. The other thing to celebrate here are the staff. All of the six or so staff members we struck here were really lovely and very helpful. This was our last night in wonderful Mansfield and for the second time in three years I’m reflecting on how right they get things here. Just the two pubs we are at here are exceptional for food compared with most city counterparts. And their hospitality similarly leaves city places for dead. It’s a brilliant meal here at a very reasonable price and the winning hospitality is most welcome. Make sure you don’t miss it.

Very underwhelming for vegetarians or vegans. Is it that hard for a large pub to offer an eggplant parma or a veggie burger option in 2022? As of dinner service on August 7th 2022 there was 1 (one) vegan or vegetarian main of “Vegan Spicy Mapo Tofu” on the menu which was frankly bad and absolutely not worth $28. Some flavourless silken tofu on jasmine rice with some steamed veg is not mapo tofu and the dish wasn’t even slightly spicy. Service was friendly and attentive but I would never return here unless the menu is completely revamped. There was not much of a pub vibe in the annexe where we were seated either - a too brightly lit, high-ceilinged room with tile flooring and lots of hard surfaces. Not at all the country pub we were hoping for unfortunately.

Came here while on a Snowboard holiday and after a long day didn't feel like cooking dinner ourselves. We were seated quickly and the service was friendly. We had the cheeseburger and the parmi accompanied by a beer. All was delicious but I wasn't impressed that I couldn't swap my chips for mash. Why can't I swap potato for another kind of potato? I understand if they'd make me pay a couple dollars extra but having to pay an extra $7 for a side of mash in addition to the chips that I don't want, no. So I got no mash and the chips I didn't eat. Therefore I was left a bit hungry still afterwards due to not having a side. My partner enjoyed his meal.

Went to this pub fairly late, around 8pm, and was seated and told our food would take around half an hour. Initially I was very grateful for the information as we were very hungry and hadn't eaten for quite a few hours. Having quickly decided on our orders, we flagged a different staff member who was swift and kind, and we were on our way to our Parma paradise! Except we sadly were led astray when our orders were forgotten and we were left waiting an hour before the kitchen, in it's closing, and the staff realising we never got out food. We ended up waiting another 30 minutes (which we were told was going to be only 15 mins) before getting our food which was very delicious (although the chips with the Parma were obviously re-fried which made them taste stale). We were offered a free drink as compensation which I appreciate, but it was sadly quite an overall negative experience.

The staff member who attended to us was very kind and chipper, but we were very hungry and the promised times given weren't accurate which didn't help as we had expectations which weren't met. In future it's important to have your staff check on tables to make sure they've ordered or how long they've been waiting for. Whether this was the fault of the kitchen or the floor staff, we ended up suffering as the customer sadly.

I still recommend this pub as they did try and rectify the situation, but I would like to stress the importance of staff checking in on customers especially in such a large establishment where it's easy for orders to get lost. The onus shouldn't be on the customer to ask where...

We came into the Mansfield Hotel today (Fathers Day) with a big group and no booking and honestly the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. They went above and beyond to make sure we were looked after even though it was super busy. The food was absolutely beautiful, every dish was spot on, and the service was warm and friendly the whole time.

The staff were really professional, quick and efficient, but also gave great customer service which made everything feel easy. They handled it all with such a good attitude and made us feel really welcomed.

The menu specials were really cute and well laid out, we loved reading through them. One of us had the T-bone steak and it was absolutely beautiful, we loved the flavor. It was also great to see some raffles and little special things happening for the day, our dad and the boys on the table really enjoyed the free beer for Fathers Day too.

The only thing I’d say is the interior design in the dining room is a bit dated, like the chairs could do with some new upholstery and the tables could probably be redone just to freshen it up a bit. But that’s honestly just style stuff, not about being clean or anything like that, everything was spotless and the team couldn’t have done more with what they’ve got.

Couldn’t recommend the Mansfield Hotel enough, great staff, great food and just a fantastic...
