I’ve ordered from Beet it Vegan burgers on DoorDash quite a few times, and each time it has previously had ONLY vegan items on the menu. I understood that it was through the same kitchen as London K Burgers, but they always functioned separately on DoorDash.
Tonight I went onto DoorDash to Beet it Vegan burgers to order something I had previously before, the HSP snack pack - which was made with vegan ingredients. I went straight to this item and noticed it was slightly different with ‘lamb’ instead of falafel. I assumed this was vegan lamb given I’ve ordered vegan chicken burgers from this store before.
I noticed some new items on the menu too, ‘mac & cheese balls’ and ordered these as it appealed to me - and I assumed of course, they were vegan. Along with a vanilla milkshake.
Upon the order arriving at my house, I dug into the HSP and soon realised it was definitely real lamb. Even though I haven’t eaten meat for 6 years, the taste is incredibly particular. This was then confirmed by my omni partner after he tried it too.
I checked my order receipt, and the title of the store was ‘London K Burgers’ but when going back to my order confirmation, it was ‘Beet it Vegan Burgers.’ Confused, I went back to the restaurant page and realised that only certain items in this supposedly ‘vegan’ store were actually vegan.
I really hate to complain, but I do feel this needs to be addressed - given the title of the store is incredibly misleading. I can’t understand why you would merge the menu of ‘London K Burgers’ with the menu of ‘Beet it Vegan Burgers’ and keep the latter title instead? It doesn’t make sense to me and causes immense confusion. Fortunately I don’t have any allergies, but this could have caused some troubles for someone who have intolerances...

and you can guess how it was ...
Before I sank in deep into details, I just leave this here.... I deliver meals on the side.... Us, the ones who are the often not seen busy bees who teleport your food to your doorstep, we see a lot of places and a lot of food handling, preparing, caring etc....
I can tell you something... 90% of the places I would never touch their food... Seriously.... I think the testimony of the delivery guys could tear the hospitality industry biig time ...
But this time, this place....... I picked up a meal to chap who lived not far from this joint and the minute I stepped in, I knew.... Ok... It's time to smash a burrrrrrggeeeeeer.
The patties were absolutely great, and it's really filling. The enclose a tasty slice of cheese....and that level of cheese my friend....it just holds the bacon and the most beautiful caramelized onion you could imagine.... On the top the cheese is melted and flowing and the mustard and the ketchap is going sooooooooo well with the pickles and an other layer of bacon.... O yess.
The buns are great and I think they balance all the above mentioned ingredients.... I reckon the base bun is enriched with butter and the top goes with the mustard, ketchup...
Although the bacon could have been more crispy for my taste but...
I gave 5 star because that's the max, if I could give 6 I would give 6 If I could give 7 I would give 7 And if I could give 8..... For sure I would...
Read moreDISAPPOINTING QUALITY AND THE FOOD WAS NOT WARM WHEN IT ARRIVED (DESPITE A 40 DEGREE DAY TODAY!) We are on a mission to find Melbourne's best vegetarian burger and decided to try London K via Uber Eats. We (two of us) ordered variants of the Londoner Vegan Burger - mine with egg and onion, his with just onion. We also ordered fries and a coleslaw salad. The burger buns were very soggy on the base and were not warm despite the outdoor temperature being 40 degrees!! The meat substitute was rather ordinary and was in the shape of a large triangle with a kind of rubbery texture. The chips were OK taste wise but similarly were not warm. On the app we noticed that the deliverer went to another location before ours so maybe the cold temperature was an Uber issues rather than the restaurant... but still not a good outcome. The coleslaw was mosty cabbange and was so sour that we couldnt eat it. I dont like giving bad reviews and always look for reasons why the service or quality may have failed... It was a particularly hot day and being the 30th December, the restuarant may have had casual staff on but in this age of instant online ordering you only get one chance so unfortunately London K is now...
