Restaurant Review: A Culinary Gem with Outstanding Service

We recently had the pleasure of dining at 30ML Bar & Eatery, and it was an experience worth every moment. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome, striking the perfect balance between attentiveness and allowing us to enjoy our evening.

The food was nothing short of exceptional. Each dish was beautifully presented, bursting with flavour, and made with fresh, The grilled salmon was perfectly cooked, and the Crème brûlée was the perfect end to the meal.

What truly set this restaurant apart was the impeccable service. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu, quick to offer recommendations, and ensured that our glasses were never empty. Small touches, like checking in at the right moments and accommodating special requests without hesitation, showed a genuine commitment to customer satisfaction.

The ambiance was warm and inviting, making it an ideal spot for a date night, family dinner, or special celebration.

Firstly I will say that we dined here on a Saturday night approx 8pm of a very busy weekend as there was a festival on in the Docklands and it is understandable that there would be some slower service/ delay however this was terrible. First we ordered 2 Aperol spritzes a beer and a soft drink. The cocktails came after 10 minutes but 30 minutes later and after alerting 4 members of staff the other drinks still hadn’t come. We waited nearly 40 minutes for a pint of larger and a coke. We were told there would be a 25 minute wait for food but the wait was over an hour and the people at the table next to us told us not to wait when we sat down as they had also been waiting over an hour. We didn’t mind the wait though. We had 3 chicken burgers which were good, the fries were delish. The grilled chicken and mash was ok but the mash was greasy and tasted of lard. We dined outside which we were happy with but when we stood up during our meal to go to the bathroom we realised the cushions on the chairs were wet and we had to walk around with soggy bottoms for the rest of the night. A true first-class cocktail bar stands out by being totally transparent about the ingredients they use, and this place does exactly that. Contrast this to other bars vaguely listing "tequila" or "vodka" and then stuffing your drink with cheap imports, instead this place proudly specifies the exact brands that you will get in your cocktail glass. That is the hallmark of a top-tier bar. Whether you're a whiskey connoisseur or a gin lover, and if you value transparency in your cocktails, this is the place to be.

The selection is impressive and the ambiance is stylish & welcoming. The bartender was clearly passionate about his craft. Each cocktail was heavenly.

And the food? Just yumm! It’s rare to find a bar where you can enjoy excellent cocktails, nibble on something delicious, and then seamlessly move on to a full main course. So much better than leaving a bar hungry and wandering through Melbourne’s cold, wet streets in search of a subpar late-night meal.
