Read moreArtvo's immersive optical illusion gallery is a treasure trove of creativity and interactive fun, providing an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment we stepped in, the welcoming presence of a friendly staff member set the tone for our visit. Their inquiry about whether it was our first time visiting the gallery reflected their attentiveness and desire to ensure a memorable experience for newcomers.
Upon affirming that it was indeed our first visit, we were introduced to another staff member who became our guide into the world of optical illusions. Their expertise in showing us how to position ourselves for photos to achieve the most convincing illusions added an invaluable layer to the experience. The gallery’s art was not only visually impressive but also engaging, inviting us to become part of the artwork itself.
Amidst the gallery's bustling atmosphere, the patience and organization of the visitors were commendable, with each family courteously waiting for their turn to capture memories. The highlight was another staff member's kind offer to take a family photo for us, showcasing the team's dedication to customer service.

Read moreAfter changing the date of attendance, we contacted ArtVo who confirmed we could attend the gallery on 25 June 2021. There is plenty of street parking if you arrive early. We chose to park in the multi-level carpark just opposite the Melbourne Star in the Dockland District.
Upon arrival the ArtVo staff treated us like VIP’s as they had a sticky note attached to their computers with our names expecting our arrival. We were told what to expect in the gallery and told to stand on the circles on the ground in front of the pictures we were interacting with to get the best 3D photos.
ArtVo can be best described in two words, “Trick Art”. Unlike traditional art museums, we were encouraged to experience art through touching and interacting with the artworks, as well as photographing ourselves as part of the art.
We walked through a variety of different zones, each featuring hand painted artworks directly from the walls to the floors. Our imagination was put to the test with so many possible poses we could think of to interact within the artworks.
The museum staff encouraged us to take as many photos and selfies as possible. They assisted us with taking photos as we all become part of the art.
We were told there were approximately 15 artists, 1000 litres of paint, 800 hours and over 80 new artworks.
