It was my first time dining here and unfortunately most likely will be my last unless there's improvement made to be on par against both Squires Loft or Meat & Wine Co for the similar price point.
The quality of the steak such as the eye fillet, porterhouse and Wagyu rump are truly average. There's a pub steak familiarity to these dishes. The Angus T-Bone here is however descent.
I found it odd that my fish n chips dish came out after all the steak dishes. The Seafood Linguini was a bit watery but okay. Presentation of the steak dishes had no wow factor, again for the price point and comparison mentioned above at other restaurants.
The atmosphere felt very squished in terms of table and seating set up. Was essentially back to back with surrounding tables so not spacious at all. Felt like they fitted more tables to get more customers in and focused on quantity over quality in comparison to other places.
Finally the customer service. It started off strong with the waitress seating us all and asking if we liked sparking water, filtered or tap still water to start off when handing us each the menu but never introduced herself.
After we got our water, 15 minutes passed and counting with no one coming by our table to check in or explain the wine list specials, or if we've dined here before to make us feel welcomed. We had to raise our hand up at another waiter to get their attention since no one was checking in on my group for us to place our order. Quite disappointing especially towards the end when I was paying and the guy at the register didn't even bother asking how was everything? Just took my payment.
I really wanted to rate this place 3 stars but as you can see from the above review. 2 stars overall when ranking the Food, Service and Atmosphere. So with my feedback on the above. I hope they can take this on board and share it across their team as a way of improving when serving...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Steakhouse Grill 66 at Docklands by the water, and I must say, it was an experience that exceeded all expectations. From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting ambiance set the tone for a memorable evening.
The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the impeccable service we received. The manager and the staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction throughout the entire meal. Their attentiveness and genuine friendliness truly made us feel valued as customers. It was heartening to see how the manager took time to interact with each table, making sure everyone, including the kids, was having a great time.
We are a group of 8 people, and the booking process was seamless, thanks to the efficient staff. The steaks were absolutely phenomenal, cooked to perfection just as we had requested. Each bite was a delightful burst of flavor, and it was evident that the chef's expertise was at play. The kids were equally delighted with their specially crafted meals, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to catering to all age groups.
The fact that all 8of us, including the kids, left the restaurant with smiles on our faces is a testament to the wonderful experience we had. It's not often that a dining outing can cater to such a diverse group and leave everyone equally content. The combination of the stunning location, exceptional service, and mouthwatering food made for an unforgettable evening for both adults and children alike.
If you're looking for a steak restaurant near Docklands with top-notch service, a charming waterfront setting, and food that leaves you craving for more, this is the place to go. Our group of 8 left with full hearts, full bellies, and lasting memories. I can confidently say that we'll be returning to create more happy moments with both the young and the young at heart at this remarkable...
Read moreThis once trustworthy restaurant has really deteriorated. The service is patchy albeit the servers are friendly when you do get their attention but don’t expect empty glasses to be a signal that you may like a refill.. we ordered oysters as entree and they were very nice. We ordered scotch fillets for mains and were surprised they charged extra if you wanted chips and salad as their $49 price point includes either chips or salad but not both. Also if you want a sauce it too is extra. This a 250g scotch fillet with chips and salad and pepper sauce will set you back $64. O’k so if that’s what you pay and the atmosphere and surroundings and service create a special night, then we don’t mind paying that amount. Take a look at the pics. Seriously? Who is in charge with plating up in the kitchen???? A personal message to you - you ought to be ashamed of yourself and your professional standards. Our meals looked like they were dished out by a school cafe. We had to send one back as it was not cooked as ordered and all they did was recoil the same steak they originally sent and sent it back out. Just a sign of a kitchen with no pride. Sorry guys, if we could give no stars we would. I look at your promotional images and them look at the meals served up to us and wondered if we ate at the same restaurant?? The fact that neither of us could finish the small steaks due to quality is also disappointing. We own a unit nearby and this has always been a favourite of ours but we appreciate honesty in reviews because of you attend this restaurant you will be spending $$$$ so need to assess whether you will get good service, quality and ambience if you do. Sadly, you will not experience either at...
