Ambrosia Cafe — Restaurant in Melbourne

Really sweet little cafe offering hot and cold meals and takeaway. Husband had continental breakfast (poached eggs, mushroom, bacon on toast) while I had vegetarian breakfast (spinach, mushrooms, tomato on toast). And we had coffees (flat white and soy latte). Food was great and mushrooms cooked exactly how I liked them! I also brought some biscuits to takeaway (coconut macaroons and biscotti) as they had a lot of European style bakery items to buy that all looked so enticing! They also had a lot of egg and bacon rolls made up so they must be really popular! If in area again...

Staff were fairly nonchalant. Coffee wasn't stirred, and the iced mocha wasn't mixed either. Coffee sunk to the bottom, and she scoffed at me when I asked for 3 sugars.... A couple of ice cubes, and 1/3 of a cup of cream on top, even though when she asked if i wanted cream, i said just a little bit. Probably better places within walking distance. Most of the reviews I've seen said they love they're customers They just must not love new or random stop...

Great cosy little cafe that has delicious homemade pies. Both pies (from the picture) are so flavoursome. The staff are so lovely and friendly - right from "hello" to even the goodbye wave at the end. The whole area has a small country town vibe. We'll definitely be back to try the other food they have to offer. Would definitely recommend this place for a lazy weekend...
