Well I love baked goods and I'm always thrilled to try a new place. I'd seen other reviews of Artisanal and then when saw on Postcards (!) knew I had to get there. OK so not quite as much choice as I was hoping for but still I brought cheesesticks, a cookie, an almond croissant and cinnamon scroll. All looked delicious. Was nearly tempted to buy their veggie baguette, stuffed full of deliciousness, but didn't and now sitting at home I think what would be nice now, a veggie baguette, oh that's right.... Artisanal is very popular and people were literally queuing out the door. The staff friendly and when heard my slight cough, was asked if I wanted a glass of water, note not every place would make this offer. Will go back to try other items in their range, including yes, a veggie baguette. Note - these goods need to be eaten on day of purchase, had one cheese stick left over and next day it was inedible, had to throw it away while the cinnamon roll tasted quite stale. So yes lovely to eat but don't leave til next day.

Despite living north side, this place was well worth a visit and has been sitting on the “must go to“ list for a couple of months now. The chicken pie is one of the best I’ve had; simple, but flavoursome chicken and vegetable filling without an overly heavy sauce. The pastry is on the softer side, rather than being a thicker crunch, but I love that in a pie. Obviously had to try one of the cinnamon rolls which had crystallised, crunchy sugar on the bottom. Crispy flaky pastry and overall left a delicious after taste in the mouth that made me wish I had a second one. We grabbed a couple of the small rolls to have with deli meats for dinner and can’t wait to eat them. They look as good as Wood Frog’s. The coffee could probably be a touch stronger, I was still pretty good, nonetheless.

This place is absolutely a new jam in town. We first had Almond and Chocolate croissant a few weeks back, and it was absolutely airy and delicious, especially with the Almond one, the slightly roasted almond on the top was so good and not overly sweet (even better than Millstone in Malvern). So we got to come back to try the rest. We’ve ordered Garlic croissant and cinnamon roll, most importantly the weekend special- Apple turnover. I was speechless of how good they were. The generous amount of the apple filling and the right amount of cinnamon seasoning in the pie was definitely worth for its price. If you haven’t tried the Apple strudel from Corina in Perth, this place is the second best you could go to for an Apple pie. Highly recommended 😌😌😌

There’s not one thing here which I can fault... in fact, with each new product I try, a new bar is set. The food is just crazy - how they come up with these flavour combinations is beyond me! Everything is original and delicious. The owners really know what they’re doing and have introduced Bentleigh to something truly unique. The sour dough is the best I’ve ever had - especially when still warm (warning - you may end up having half a loaf right there lol). The garlic croissants are just wow... and those meat pies - omg! I could seriously keep going (but then this would be a super long review). Oh and don’t forget the coffee - the barista really knows how to appease even the biggest coffee critic! Lovely staff and great service! A must try for anyone who appreciates great bread and loves pastries! Well...
